Jet2 booking engine showing 2 x weekly to both Dalaman and Antalya in October. Nothing to Bodrum or Izmir.

Which makes sense as they are higher volume, higher amount of hotel destinations. I would expect more to come if it’s selling. If there’s capacity available, demand is there, why not add. And as @TheLocalYokel pointed out no TUI, it would be madness not for Jet2 to add even more into BRS.

BRS-DLM for next Friday showing as full on the booking system. Showing that Jet2 and BRS will get along and be good for Jet2. First flight from the base that a flight will go full since it started.

I doubt very much that the first DLM flight is full given that there have been barely any “at capacity” flights at all this summer.

There is a flight on 24/09. No Jet2.com seats available and no Jet2holidays available either. That means it’s full.

Don’t doubt the popularity of Turkey from anywhere coupled with the vaccum created by the TC loss and easyJet/TUI absence with lack of response it’s full. Don’t underestimate the want to go on holiday and what this recent announcement has done for the industry.

easyJet is operating to Dalaman in October from BRS ( 2 x weekly). TUI is not operating from there to Turkey according to its latest timetable.

This was at least a week ago according to the YouTube submission date. Did the videographer say the flight was 95% full?

The next easyJet flight to Funchal is on Thursday (23rd) and the seat selector is currently showing 116 seats occupied (62% of the A320's 186 seats).

It would be fascinating to know the market share on the route now that Jet2 is operating but as the CAA only shows overall route passenger numbers we are unlikely to know.

Thanks for posting, Jerry. It was a good insight to Jet2 from BRS.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays launch flights and holidays to Turkey from Bristol Airport

Created: 23rd Sep 2021

Services operating to Antalya and Dalaman for the first time from Bristol Airport

  • Up to two weekly services to Antalya and Dalaman from the base helps meet the huge demand for some late Summer sunshine!
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are launching flights and holidays to Turkey on Friday (24th September) from Bristol Airport for the first time, as the award-winning airline and tour operator responds quickly to demand for holidays in the Turkish sunshine.

Following the easing of international travel restrictions and the removal of Turkey from the Red List, the award-winning airline and tour operator has been quick to launch flights and holidays to Antalya and Dalaman from their new base, Bristol Airport.

Busy flights are scheduled to depart from Bristol Airport, as customers make the most of being able to enjoy some Turkish sunshine for the first time in a year.

With up to two weekly flights to Antalya and Dalaman available for Summer 21 from Bristol Airport, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are responding to huge demand and are offering customers and independent travel agents plenty of choice and flexibility when it comes to getting some much-needed Turkish sunshine. The companies are operating to Antalya from Bristol Airport throughout the Winter season too.

On the back of last week’s travel update, Jet2holidays, the UK’s leading tour operator to destinations in the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, together with leisure airline, Jet2.com reported an increase in bookings of more than 1,000% to Turkey as holidaymakers flocked to book holidays to the popular hotspot once again. The addition of Turkey to the flying programme means that the companies are operating to more than 40 destinations from across ten UK bases.

As well as booking and travelling on award-winning flights and ATOL protected package holidays to over 40 destinations from across ten UK bases, customers can get to experience and enjoy the company’s VIP customer service which has seen Jet2.com and Jet2holidays win high-profile accolades before and during the pandemic, such as Which? Recommended Provider and TripAdvisor’s Best AirlineUK and Top 10 Airlines of the World.

This VIP customer service includes friendly flight times and a generous 22kg baggage allowance through a flight-only booking with Jet2.com, seeing the airline win five accolades at the 2020 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice® Awards for Airlines; or that very same VIP customer service, in-resort Customer Helpers, transfers, free child places and ATOL protection with the UK’s largest tour operator to destinations in the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, Jet2holidays. As well as a choice of thousands of 2-5 star hotels through Jet2holidays, customers can take advantage of Free Child Places which are still available for some late summer sun.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The launch of our award-winning flights and package holidays to Turkey from Bristol Airport is fantastic news for holidaymakers. We are delighted to be starting flights and holidays to Antalya and Dalaman and to be taking customers in the region to these much-loved destinations. Customers have missed being able to visit Turkey this summer, so the reopening of the country has resulted in huge demand and comes just in time for holidaymakers to enjoy some late summer sun. We continue to look towards the future with real confidence, as customers make the most of being able to get away and enjoy some much-needed sunshine.”

I can confirm this flight was not full.

Nowhere near full in fact…

I was looking at Jet2 flights across many UK bases for 23/9/21 to Turkey. (Both Dalaman and Antalya) and many of these flights looked pretty busy.

Normally when Jet2s flights are full it says when you look at the days they fly on the specific route in question (which on the calendar pops up on green)

Both DLM and AYT have operated from BRS today so I presume Sherburnflyer92 is correct and the flights were popular today.
