How was 2016 for you?

It's been a turbulent year politically with Brexit, the escalating situation in Syria and the US presidential elections. How has 2016 been for you? Can't wait to see the back of it, or maybe it's been the best year you can remember so far as you are concerned?

2016 has been a mixed year for me personally.

Lost my uncle suddenly and without warning in January, he was just 42 and had a young family. Did a lot for me growing up.

Had a new baby in October and a great family holiday in June, so, been a wierd one.

We seem to have lost a lot of people this year, so I know it's not been a great year for many.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I guess each year is full of it's own trials and tribulations. The new member of the family will give you many years of happiness.

Cheers.

Yes overall we are seeing the year as a positive, I'm a glass half full kind of guy anyway, so it's not too bad.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
