Loganair have today announced a new 4x weekly Norwich - Teesside route using Saab 340 aircraft. Onward Link to Aberdeen will also be available via Teesside.

Interesting route. Years ago I did a short hop from MME to HUY. On Air UK, it then carried on down to NWI.

In the early 80s I flew from Norwich to LBA, I think the flight continued onto Edinburgh.

Air Anglia used to fly NWI-LBA-EDI-ABZ and vice versa from the mid 70's. The Sat am southbound and Sun pm Northbound were initially flown by DC3 that were positioning to/from NWI for maintenance having been flying oil charters Mon to Fri.

Because of the height they were transiting at,they would call up Midland or Eastern Military Radar for clearance

A poster on another forum says that Loganair will operate 2 x weekly (Mon and Fri) to Inverness between 29 June and 3 September 2018. They will also operate 2 x weekly (Fri and Sun) for three weeks during the TT Races next year. There will also be a flight to Jersey on Saturdays.

I will be flying on them NWI-MAN next month, not flying down taking train Liverpool to Norwich....over 5 and half hours !

Loganair axing the daily Norwich - Durham Tees Valley link as of January 5th 2018 due to very low passenger numbers. According to the November CAA stats they only avarged 5 per flight.

Loganair will launch NWI to INV 29 June to 3 Sept, twice a week, using a Dornier 328. Jersey is from 30 Apr to 7 Oct 5 weekly.

The Inverness service will now not operate this summer apparently sales have been been disappointing.

Ive used MAN-NWI-MAN a number.of times.over the years and while its a quick way to get from East Anglia to the North West, ive never seen the flights very busy.
More recently Ive travelled by train instead as the fares by air have been too expensive or timings not good. Also advantage I can just go to a local station.
