Would one also suggest, given the ever growing Jet2 business and the obvious hole in the network which even airlines like TUI recognise, this is a defensive move to put them off BRS as a potential 10th base.

It certainly has a ring about it but what it does show is there is demand there that somehow easyJet and Ryanair don't seem interested in . Incidentally Thomas cook has 5 x dalaman and 4 x Antalya next summer again showing the way for jet2 to come to Bristol .

It helps that for TUI BRS has such a large Easyjet as they don't need to operate as much flights to the likes of PMI ALC and AGP like they would have to at smaller airport's or ones without an EZY base. That then in turn means they can operate destinations that the likes of EZY and FR might not consider from BRS.

I also think Jerry is correct - easy and Ryanair have very frequent flights to mainland Spain meaning that TUI/TCX don't have to deliver as many frequent flights as for example out of LBA or NCL. They still have a presence as they want to deliver their holiday product to these, popular, destinations however. Does TCX offer easyJet flights too?

That is not the reality.

Taking August in summer 2018, easyJet has 13 weekly flights to Palma, 14 to Alicante and 14 to Malaga. Ryanair has 10 weekly flights to Palma, 10 to Alicante and 8 to Malaga.

TUI has 4 weekly flights to Palma, 1 to Alicante and 2 to Malaga. Thomas Cook has 3 weekly flights to Palma, none to Alicante* and none to Malaga**.

From NCL TUI has 3 weekly flights to Palma, 2 weekly flights to Alicante and 2 weekly flights to Malaga. Thomas Cook has 4 weekly flights to Palma, none to Alicante* and none to Malaga**

From LBA TUI has 5 weekly flights to Palma, none to Alicante and 1 to Malaga. Thomas Cook no flights to Palma, none to Alicante* and none to Malaga**

So despite the high number of easyJet and Ryanair flights to the popular Spanish sun spots, BRS still has broadly the same sort of frequency with TUI and Thomas Cook as NCL and LBA which were mentioned as examples.

All flights will be 1 weekly to each destination. Enfidha Airport used.

Yes, NBE looks to be starting again on Tuesdays filling the last slot for the 4x based shorthaul aircraft.
A second weekly DLM has also been added using a DLM based carrier on Sunday evenings (showing as TBA - to be arranged)

That makes a total of 65 flights per week from BRS in peak Summer 18.
58x flights per week are on the 4x based B752/B738
4x flights per week are on the part-based B788
3x flights per week are on other carriers (MLA - KM // VRN - ?? // DLM - ??)

Each of the four based aircraft operate two flights per day.
However one aircraft operates three flights on a Monday (operating the late night IBZ), and one aircraft operates three flights on a Saturday (operating the late night PMI).
One aircraft on a Saturday operates BRS-PMI-LTN-PMI-BRS and then operates the late evening KGS.

Not sure if this has been posted before but TUI seem to have dropped Boa Vista in Cape Verde from the BRS schedules, it is not bookable or showing in any drop downs on the TUI booking engines.

I contacted TUI on twitter advising that it seems to have been removed and got the following response:

No, it was scheduled to commence in November '18, so I would suggest it would have been a B757.

Not completely surprised, given that Sal has been increased to a 788 from a 757. Boa Vista was put into the TOM/TUI schedules on a previous occasion several years ago but then removed before operations commenced.

Its a bit ironic that BRS airport issued a tweet on twitter on Friday with a bucket list of destinations for 2018 with Boa Vista included.

I'm not a tweeter but I had an email from the airport on Friday listing about ten destinations (not just TUI) that have started this winter or will start next summer or next winter but Boa Vista wasn't included. I didn't give a thought to that until your post today. Enfidha was not in the list though despite it being on sale from 1 May on the TUI website.
