Ideal route for easyjet but they had a falling out with Madrid a while ago, no chance on Iberia Express
I forgot easyJet used to have a base in Madrid, I always wondered why they had so few routes from there.

Why do you think there’s no chance of IBX coming back?

Funnily enough, I noticed BHX on the IBX route map on their in-flight magazine when flying MAD-FCO last week. Not sure if they just forgot to remove it, but they dropped BHX 4 years ago now so it’s surprising.

I think IBX would do great now and I would love them back but I think that ship has sailed !

A new airline opens Plovdiv Airport. It will connect the English city of Birmingham with Plovdiv. The flights will be operated by Ryanair once a week from the end of November 2024"The new line is possible thanks to the active communication of the airport team with the airline and the help of the Fund for the Development of Plovdiv Airport - the Southern Gate of Bulgaria," announced the executive director of Plovdiv Airport, Doychin Angelov. He thanks all the municipalities and legal entities that participate in the Fund and support the development of the airport."After we opened the airline to Manchester, the one to Birmingham is another English destination with which we fill the air connectivity map with the Bulgarian communities that live and work in England. Through it, tourists from the Birmingham region are also given the opportunity to visit Plovdiv and our winter resorts. The South Central region and Bulgaria as a whole deserve to be more and more accessible to the wonders and beauties that there are in our lands, and for which there are more and more people willing to

Hi,

Does anybody know why the RK flights from BHX are not operated by G-RUK* aircraft? Also BHX is down to one 737 Max based. Will this be the case for the summer season?

Any answers gratefully received

Regards

Karl

To answer your first question about Ryanair UK, The flights themselves are still technically “Ryanair UK“ but they basically chartered Ryanair DAC aircraft to operate them due to 737-800 not being able to move over because of the Max delays .

Peak season the latest I heard was 4 of each type but obviously it could off changed from then.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
