Yes, well done LPL. Unlike MAN who had shut the door earlier to LBA diversions. Hope there was a good reason.
where would you suggest MAN put them, they have a large based fleet to cater for and the builders in.
Would have thought LPL would welcome a few divs.

Well MAN took 20 diversions on 10 December and a couple more on the 26th despite all the construction work. I wouldn't have though a prop a/c and a A319 would have taken up too much space last evening, especially as it was likely to be just a fuel and go. But as I said, there may have been special factors yesterday evening. It's just from the outside, MAN's policy on diversions is difficult to follow on occasions.

Did the 9 RYR require re-fueling at LPL out of interest?
I don't know how late it was but I'm surprised handling staff were available to deal with the situation if so. But it seems it was a very good effort.

I have a feeling it was pretty late at least some landed after mid night. I image they would have been put in hotels.

Biggest factor is the handling agents ability, willingness to handle diversions,MAN has an average seventy based/night stoppers all catered for by a skeleton winter staff, yes three LPL lads did nine FR last night but it all depends on what work load you have before the diversions is ,no spare men anymore.

What's the problem at BHD, the weather looks OK according to the METAR TAF?

I'm not so sure, unless it's a NQY-MAN flight, and passengers being bussed with aircraft off to Belfast to do something else. Its just what I've tried to gleam from airport website. Its down as. BE046W at 1745

I understand some more diversions another Ryanair FR2333 KRK/LBA

AXY2304 From Heraklion 737-500 an Air X charter also from Leeds

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
