It sounds similar to the tram-train link proposed at LBA. No costings have yet been given so it's nice to get an idea.

I've used Glasgow and Edinburgh airports quite often down the years and always used the bus link to the city centres which I've always found pretty good, and I've usually arrived in the morning rush hour.

We shall be flying into EDI again later this month, but before the tram opens. Nevertheless, the infrastructure is now largely in place I understand so it will be interesting to see it.

Slightly off at a tangent, but I do like NCL's Metro system which I've used many times. For an airport of that size it's an excellent facility.

Finally something that's worthy of posting in this thread

Flixbus are to extend 8 of their services that currently operate between Glasgow City Centre and Aberdeen to start at Glasgow Airport.

Starting this Thursday (talk about short notice) service details are below;

Glasgow Airport to Aberdeen: 0740, 0840, 1640, 1810, 2000, 2100, 2200, 2300

Aberdeen to Glasgow Airport: 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800, 1900, 2330

Route for the service is: Glasgow Airport - Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station - Stirling (Castleview P&R), Perth (Broxden Park & Ride), Dundee - Aberdeen

New Flixbus route between four cities and Glasgow Airport

Ember are to launch a new Glasgow to Fort William coach service which will also call at Glasgow Airport.

Starting on May 14th, a minimum of 3 daily services will operate.

Glasgow Airport to Fort William: 0824, 1329, 1735

Fort William to Glasgow Airport: 0807, 1315, 2212
