The new freight flight LH8049 is a codeshare flight - it's operated by Aerologic as 3S411.

"LH cargo will start a new LH8049 cargo flight" so I'm taking that as weekly not one-off

It's not a new flight it's been brought in as there are no other aircraft available and the aircraft that does the route is having it's C check in FRA and the others are AOG or being used on other routes. There hasn't been a flight into Man for two weeks due to availability of the 777s It wasn't a codeshare it was flying as Lufthansa today. Tommorow nights 777 from Lax is cancelled this was it's replacement.

LH Cargo flights appear to be finally ceasing operations at MAN. Who knows if they will return in the future?

Last MD11F LH8231 from LAX Mon A2025 D0225 (24/10)
Last B777F LH8175 from ATL Fri 27/10/17 A0800 D0930

Sad day indeed. In a bleak all cargo market, those and FedEx were the last bastions of the market. With LH gone, barring our FedExI fear pure cargo market will be very hard to get back, not with Doncaster mopping up the lions share of the market now.

Eurowings will increase Düsseldorf from 26th March, from 3to 4 daily mon-Fri.

Flights depart 0755/1110/1555/2000 using A319/A320/CRJ900.

Confirmed and bookable.

Good news. Just hope that my potential trip to Dusseldorf/Cologne next year can get firmed up so I can book the cheaper prices.

Confirmation from the start of season Winter 2018 ACL report:

Eurowings, on behalf of Lufthansa, will cancel services to Cologne, Hamburg and Salzburg. Dusseldorf will however increase from 3 to 4 flights per day.

With effect from 1st June Lufthansa will increase the Munich service from 3 to 4 per day. The new flight will operate Monday-Friday at 1210/1255z using an A319.

Daily MD11F freighter will operate daily for the period 01-28Apr from/to FRA 1505/1735z under LH8348/9

Presumably this, together with the Zimex Aviation flight, are connected with Brexit.

From an ACL report dated 28th March

Slots cancelled for additional fourth MUC service that was planned from 03Jun Mon-Fri with A319 1210/1255z. Now remains three per day.

Airlineroute on 22nd August showed the following planned services for W20

Frankfurt – Manchester 15 weekly
Munich – Manchester 12 weekly

Has anyone applied for a refund from a travel voucher from Lufthansa? I ask because recently I have started travelling on business again (first time since March 2020). Lufthansa cancelled my flights from Toulouse>MAN last year (whilst I was living in France) and issued me with vouchers.
Now I want to finally use them, but because my origin airport has changed (I moved back to the UK this year), I cannot use them to fly from MAN.
I have therefore requested a refund due to not being able to use the flight voucher.

I sent Lufthansa a twitter message and an e mail many weeks ago and they advised me to contact their service centre because at that time I didn't realise you couldn't change your origin airport, also I was using my phone to attempt to book flights and I also found out at this time that to have the option of applying the voucher, you have to use a tablet or laptop/desktop PC!

I enjoy flying Lufthansa and really like them...but there certainly isn't that much flexibility when it comes to dealing with them!

Any advise/feedback appreciated.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
