This is how it is currently:

Members are entitled to upload 10 images/attachments across the whole site, which includes the media gallery, and a maximum of 200MB also applies to uploads into the media gallery. The delete permission is currently being tested but any uploads can be managed from https://forums4airports.com/account/th-attachment-manager/ and a handy quota reminder is shown at the bottom.

Hope this helps :)

Hi @LBA4EVER we're aware of issues deleting attachments so if you're having any issues deleting them, please report the posts and we'll be happy to oblige. @Aviador and myself are currently under discussions about a new set of limits for members, including but not limited to being able to edit posts anytime as this is where the delete function for attachments is due to the way that XenForo has been designed. Thanks.
So i went into my settings and found the attachments, managed to delete some old images due to the bin icon next to them but unable to delete the rest. If the max allowance is 10 images then i give you permission to delete every other image and give me a clean start, thankyou

All cleared for you. I'm really going to have to investigate the attachment issues because some don't seem to be able to delete old items and my test account certainly can't delete anything...

Another problem we have is if the attachments and gallery images are counted as the same then it will severely restrict people from sharing their images with everyone and result in a significantly reduced gallery and good photos being removed to allow new photos.

If we allow everyone to delete their own posts, in the past this has resulted in members deleting multiple posts which would reduce the sites overall pleasure. A way around this is to potentially put members who abuse the system into a separate more restrictive group to stop them from continuously removing their posts and images.

I will do some further tests; it might be editing allows the removal of attachments from posts, and therefore can be removed via the attachment manager, of which edited posts are always tracked. Members can already remove media items at any time from the attachment manager.

Out of all the images i had on here there were only 4 bin icons present, so was only able to delete the 4 images. Thankyou for helping me out.

Hi all, I just thought I would provide an update:
  • I am still working on the issues regarding the ability to delete attachments from the attachment manager for uploads that are made to posts and conversations and to see what permission this is exactly linked to.
  • Uploads to the Media Gallery are no longer included in the maximum of 10 uploads or 200MB storage limit so you may upload as many images as you like into the gallery, there is however defined limits as follows:
    • 200 MB storage
    • Max 10MB file size per upload
    • Max image dimensions of 1920x1080
These quotas are increased based on your subscription level, for more on that, please see the help page here: https://forums4airports.com/help/subscriptions/

In consultation with @Aviador, it is likely that the limit for free forum users' entitlement is to be reduced. The current unlimited parameters for platinum members may also be revised, of which any changes will be communicated to members. If you have any further questions, please don't be afraid to ask, I promise I won't bite

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?
