  • Expansion includes the addition of more services from Bristol Airport, with twice-weekly services available to Iceland in April – one of the best times to experience the Northern Lights

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have today put an expanded programme on sale to Iceland from Bristol Airport for Winter 24/25, meaning they are offering customers and independent travel agents even more choice and flexibility than ever before to this bucket list destination.

The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest operator of city breaks to Europe have responded to strong demand for trips and holidays to Iceland, by announcing a bigger programme of scheduled services to the destination from Bristol Airport for next winter. The scheduled flights are available at one of the best times to see the Northern Lights, and give holidaymakers the opportunity to book ahead, as this is the earliest that Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have ever put their Iceland programme on sale.

The expanded programme will see the companies fly twice-weekly (Wednesday and Sunday) from Bristol Airport to Iceland from 2nd to 27th April 2025, with all flights to Keflavík International Airport near Reykjavik operated by award-winning Jet2.com. The scheduled flights are timed perfectly for customers wishing to experience the natural wonders of Iceland, such as the Northern Lights, as well as for the Easter holidays.

Thanks to its abundance of incredible sites, Iceland has continued to experience strong demand, with Spring proving to be a particularly popular time for customers and independent travel agents. Whether it is the cityscape of Reykjavik, the spectacular Northern Lights, or the stunning Golden Circle and its geothermal lagoons, spas and waterfalls, Iceland offers an incredible variety of things for customers to experience and see.

Customers can pick from flight-only or package holiday options, with package options with Jet2CityBreaks available for a low £60 per person deposit. Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include a guided Northern Lights Tour, flights with Jet2.com, including 22kg hold luggage and transfers to and from the airport, as well as a choice of 3 and 4-star hotels in central Reykjavik which provide the perfect base from which to explore and experience authentic Icelandic cuisine. In addition, a choice of excursions are also available to purchase including those to the South Shore, Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Iceland is a destination that has continued to see strong demand due to its many stunning natural wonders, so we are delighted to be launching an expanded Iceland programme for Winter 24/25 from Bristol Airport. As well as offering more choice than ever before, we have also responded to strong demand from customers wanting to book ahead by launching the programme nice and early. Thanks to this expansion, we are offering customers and independent travel agents the biggest and best flexibility when it comes to visiting Iceland, and we have no doubt they will be flocking to book flights and city breaks to this magical destination. The beauty of Iceland, coupled with the fantastic benefits available through Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks, means we are looking ahead to a very busy programme next winter.”

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
