Raw-dogging on planes: Heroic or just plain stupid?

Some fliers are giving up in-flight entertainment and even drinking water but experts warn it could be dangerous.

Crazy is all I can say! While I agree a digital detox is good idea what’s wrong with reading a book? And the no drinking/eating is really bad for you on a long haul flight.

I nearly spewed up my brew all over my laptop reading that headline. I've never actually flown long haul personally and enjoy eating and drinking too much to give it up for the flight.

The longest journeys I have ever taken have just been in the region of 4 and a half hours to Turkey or Tenerife. When I'm not eating or drinking I'm usually reading the inflight magazine or looking out of the window.
