Tempelhof Airport is one of Berlin’s most fascinating landmarks — a vast, abandoned terminal frozen in time. I recently filmed an exclusive tour inside, exploring forgotten corridors, eerily preserved lounges, Cold War remnants, and even empty passport halls.

This is a side of Berlin most travellers never get to see, and I wanted to capture it in a cinematic way for anyone curious about aviation history, urban exploration, or hidden parts of Europe’s cities.

Here’s the video if you’d like to take a look:

Would love to hear what you think — has anyone else toured Tempelhof?

@jwotravelexpert Absolutely brilliant. Really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing it with us. I've already given it a spot on our homepage.
So kind, @Aviador. I really appreciate this. I must admit, as much as I'm passionate about all the films I've made (I would say that!!) this one really was a sheer joy to experience and put together. Thanks for all the support I get from this forum!

Brilliant video, amazingly it still looks cleaner than some airports I've used that are still operational 🙂

Definitely one that I'll pencil in if we ever get round to visiting Berlin.

Thanks for posting 👍

Highly recommend Ray! Ah, agreed - it must be that German efficiency!!

A great video! I must admit it's very fascinating and I only learnt a bit the airport after Formula E started racing there.

I once did a tour of this huge airport, enjoyed it. Had quiet a ghostly feel as if the passengers had only just left. The architecture is quite brutalist as expected of the time.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
