As the cost of living and aircraft fuel shortages begin to bite if the situation doesn't improve in the Middle East then expect to see further reductions in aircraft movements and passenger numbers. Shame as we had been doing well up to this point compared to other UK airports but we have to face reality in this current climate.
But then again perhaps the play it safe spanish, french and Portuguese routes may see an increase, better to go south than east if you get me!

Well, it has been quite the task, but I have managed to produce a breakdown of the CAA stats by airline

The data is entirely based on my own research conducted 3-28 Feb on the loads of easyJet and Ryanair flights, rudimentarily adjusted to encompass the entire month and to more roughly match the actual stats given, are subject to a general margin of error of at least 10% and may or may not be the furthest from the truth. Expect moderately more accurate data next month

Easyjet Geneva looks atrocious. I will be surprised if they offer it next Winter.

Thank you @Stagman, I hadn't seen the updated list. Yes they are on the website - 285998 which is plus 2%, first increase of the year.
I had been looking since last Wednesday onwards. CAA had only just put on the updated 2026 release dates on Monday. Just hope they stick to the dates and not slip like they have done numerous times this past couple of years.

My apologies for putting Leeds back into its alphabetical order of jobs to be done!! Here is my usual monthly take on the CAA data - this time for March. As usual there are differences in the figures when comparing the various tables, however I have used Table 3, 9, 12.1, 12.3 and 13.

I've been sitting on these figures for a few days now - typing them up is as much of a task as processing them. However, I have detailed passenger figures from March 2026, including estimates split by airline (except Antalya, I can't access seat maps for SunExpress and don't have confidence in the accuracy of Jet2's)

The usual disclaimers apply, my research, margin of error, may or may not be furthest from the truth etc.

Notes:
For routes with multiple airlines, I collate my figures for Ryanair and easyJet, subtract 3.5% of the figure, then work out the estimated loads of the other airlines from that. Subtracting 3.5% produces a margin of error of often single figures for routes with only Ryanair on, and frankly I've done the exact same thing for easyJet because Belfast yielded an unusually high margin of error of nearly 10%
I have had to manually override the figures for Fuerteventura after my usual calculations gave Jet2 a load of over 100%. The loads were similarly slightly off last month, making me believe this is a Fuerteventura-specific problem. I'm a little tentative on Jet2's 97% load on Tenerife as well, but it's somewhat believable so I'll just leave it
A wider evaluation of the routes operated by easyJet and Ryanair will be posted onto their separate threads whenever I can be bothered, because this has taken over an hour and I'm not spending another 30-60 minutes this evening

I always use Ryanair to FAO……probably 6 times a year (not summer) and every time the plane looks around 90% full so your figure of 63% really surprises me.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
