Bristol Airport Commences Work on Solar Farm Customers travelling from Bristol Airport will see development work taking place on the airfield creating Bristol Airport’s solar farm. A 2.8 acre solar farm is being constructed on the airfield. Preparation work is already underway, with the project commencing in May and forecast to be completed by Summer 2023. The solar panels (combined with the existing roof mounted panels at the Administration Building and the Car Rental Consolidation Site) will be expected to increase the renewable energy generated on site to at least 16% of the Airport’s direct energy needs over the year.
