Anybody know why LBA NQY isnt showing on the flybe drop down at all? doesnt appear bookable

Yeap agreed Leeds/Bradford - Newquay is missing on the Flybe website at the moment, But I've just checked the Amadeus GDS and direct flights are still showing bookable on there..

PS: I understand Newquay Airport are aware of the glitch on the flybe website and are in contact with the airline regards the issue.

Good news regards the flybe website problem not showing the Leeds/Bradford - Newquay route.

I've just been contacted by Newquay Airport on twitter whom are saying the problem has been resolved and flights are bookable once, again.

You've got to love the use of social media sometimes.

We're there ever flights to SEN? I know BKS used it as a diversion for Heathrow. I had a friend who was diverted there I think on a 748 or Viscount so probably 60's or early 70's.

I think he meant cuts in general as opposed to us having had a Southend service. Interesting however looking on FR24 arrivals today to see FlyBe 7 arrivals and Jet2 just 5. Yes I know this includes Eastern, but looks good from a FlyBe perspective.

The 1st phase release of Flybe's (Virgin Connect) Summer 2020 flights schedule goes on sale tomorrow. Lets hope Leeds/Bradford keeps hold of its Belfast City & Newquay services.

PS: Eastern Airways operated Franchise services will probably be release at a later date so don't be surprised if the Leeds - Southampton route is not on sale for summer 2020 tomorrow

I've used the Belfast route 3 times this year and each time the aircraft has been full or near as damn it. It just shows you that when an airline provides the right schedule and has a sensible pricing structure the service from Leeds is well used.

Back up to LBA this Sunday on the BA1346 with @KARFA also on board .

I noted when reading the Flybe press release yesterday that although they highlighted around 6 new routes, mostly from Southend, they did say that further new routes would be published at a later date. Lets hope...…….!

And how many for DSA? Sorry is that too cynical?
Poor taste, Flybe were doing ok at DSA it wasn't the airports fault Virgin decided to go. People lost jobs because of them departing, other people lost working hours whilst others lost revenue. The DSA v LBA debate is so boring we all know LBA is Yorkshire's biggest airport and DSA struggles to attract airlines.

Flybe right from the start should of opened a base from LBA and not DSA. Flybe would of had the perfect base, passenger types and population to operate a very successful operation using the most suitable aircraft (dash-8)for a Leeds base. With the correct advertising like jet2 promoted themselves with word would of got round resulting in some good double daily flights to the destinations LBA is crying out for, german and French mainly, as well as some uk places. This would of resulted in LBA having a really good mix of balanced flights with your jet2 and ryanairs to the med, national carriers ie klm,EI,BA and a wide choice of European routes from flybe !

The dash 8 was never an option for DSA so surely the same would of applied to LBA, I suspect like TUI Flybe were another airline worried about the huge Jet 2 operation at LBA and felt that less competition at DSA was a better bet

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
