Thanks Jerry. We’ll struggle to do a million this year though.

Will have to see what happens but most airports are going to struggle CWL will not be alone in that. Thanks Jerry. We’ll struggle to do a million this year though.
Yes it was a good surprise to see such a jump. The route is maturing well. It'll be interesting to see February's numbers on it. Also generally considering the loss of the Flybe base, FR Tenerife and VY Malaga for most of that month 7% drop isn't as bad as i feared it might be.
It will have a blip yes like most of the routes but it will get back on track and i do feel that out of all the airlines at CWL Qatar are one of the least likely to leave in the aftermath of coronavirus.Well, it was maturing well.

The route is becoming established, the airlines i fear will reduce or leave altogether is TUI and Ryanair but i guess we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime Doha had pretty good increase in February as well.I do agree with you actually. Qatar airways do seem to be world domination mode and will likely to continue to be after all this is over so i can’t actually see them pulling the route.
That's a very good result.CAA Stats February 2020
77,028 passengers used the airport down 1.1% on 2019. Rolling year was 1,649,075 passengers up 4.2% on 2019.
Atms were 1007 down 0.3%.
Yep I'll update the rest when I get back to the house later. That's a very good result.
Oh definitely they have. For CWL its a bit worse because of the loss of Flybe as well. It'll take time but I do believe that the airport will bounce back.If it is some consolation, all other airports have been affected the same.
CWL will definitely survive even if the post-COVID effects for aviation are as dire as some people seem to be suggesting they will be. The WG won't allow CWL to close, unlike some mainly smaller airports in the country that might be vulnerable if aviation really does take many years to recover.Oh definitely they have. I didn’t really want to point the finger at specific airports but it’s common knowledge that some have small passenger footprints and rely, or relied in a number of cases, on one airline for much of their traffic.southampton being one of those i imagine, and potentially BOH for passenger traffic?
