Support for welsh independence is at 21% in favour.

for the first time, support for abolishing the senedd is higher than independence.

I think this more recent poll is more accurate!

This is the percentages from the regional ballot that indicates support for type of constitutional change in Wales.
1.1m people voted:
Independence (Plaid, Green, Propel & Gwlad) - 26.7%
'Radical' federalism (Lab, LD) - 40.5%
Status Quo (Cons, Ref) - 26.2%
Abolish (AWA, UKIP) - 5.3%

New Cabinet noticeable addition is Mick Antoniw as Counsel General designate and Minister for the Constitution. Noticeable demotion is Vaughan Gething to Economy Minister with Ken Skates out of the cabinet altogether.
It's also noticeable there's no separate portfolio for Transport nor is it in the title with another portfolio as before.
I'm assuming it'll be in Vaughan Gething brief.

Apparently Transport now comes under the Minister for Climate change.

it is interesting to know how people would vote directly in referendums though and it appears the moment more people would support abolition than independence.

I think we do have to be careful of polls but independence does seem to be guaranteed to be over 20% but it is quite sad that anyone in Wales would want to see Wales return to essentially being a county of England. But the chances of the Senedd being abolished by referendum are zero now while independence is most likely to be inevitable even it's not going to happen in 10 years time it'll be a matter of when not if because England Wales and Scotland just aren't politically compatible anymore. These round of elections have proved that.

I don’t think people want to be a county of england. I certainly don’t but i still want us to be part of the United Kingdom.

it’s perfectly acceptable to want more powers for wales and remain inside the United Kingdom.

many countries run federal nations quite successfully.

Problem is that countries that run federal systems or have part's of it autonomous have written constitutions or written constitutionally tied agreements that sets out powers and areas of responsibilities and what powers will be devolved. UK doesn't have that we have a central government that wants to bring the powers back to it. So we have Wales that wants more self government and an UK government that wants Wales to have less. Something will have to give.
Will WG support the airport now with climate change?
I believe so yes. The portfolio seems pretty big. I suspect that the title is a bit of a political stunt as it includes Climate change, Transport, planning and energy.
I was disappointed there was not more LGBT and BAME individuals in the cabinet
I don't about LGBTQ but I think there's 3 BAME MS 2 men 1 woman.
1 is newly elected a woman Conservative MS. 1 Labour Vaughan Gething and the other 2 are Conservative regional MS.

What is 'Radical' federalism'? Is it akin to the so-called devo-max?

Unlike the UK's current half-baked version.

I note the minister is described on the Senedd website as a green campaigner and environmentalist. When she practised as a barrister she was a leading environmental and constitutional lawyer.

Ken Skates's portfolio was Economy, Transport and North Wales. He seemed to be very keen on promoting and trying to do the right thing for CWL. The economy and the part played in it by the country's main airport seems a more natural link to my eyes than putting it in the Climate Change minister's portfolio with obvious potential for divergence.

From what I've read it sounds more a confederation like the EU where sovereignty lies in Cardiff rather than Westminster and certain powers are pooled but the component parts of the UK wouldn't be an independent countries. The UK as a state would still exist.

The portfolio is much bigger than I first thought Transport, Energy, Housing, Planning, NRW, Biodiversity, National Forest, National Parks and Digital. I generally think they've made a mistake separating transport from Economy. Transport in itself is a big job without adding the above.
Apparently Ken Skates stepped down to focus on regaining the lost North Wales seats at the next general election.

the Welsh first minister on tv this morning has advised Welsh people not to holiday abroad this year, but to holiday in Wales. He did say airports open will be MAN,BHX and BRS so fly from one of these if you want to holiday abroad. With what he said tells me he has not got much faith in CWL

The BBC reports him as saying the bits I have set out in italics below. It's a bit misleading because it can give the impression that CWL will be shut, although he does actually say 'most people'.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Mr Drakeford admitted the travel advice was not a rule because it would be "unenforceable", but urged caution against "importing" coronavirus from other parts of the world.

"We know most people who travel from Wales will be doing it from Bristol, Manchester, London, so once those airports are open and travel across the UK is allowed, then people from Wales will be able to travel," he said.

The first minister said the advice was "clear" and there were "fantastic opportunities" to take a holiday in Wales instead.

Not exactly many flights from Cardiff going abroad at the moment! The airport doesn't really at the moment start getting back to some normality until June.

Not sure denying the fact that the UK is made up countries and Wales is one of them will actually help keep the UK together.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
