With the clocks going back, Ryanair begin their summer season right on cue. Unlike easyJet, Jet2, TUI who gradually build their summer up Ryanair jump straight in both feet first so some strange routings happen in the "shoulder summer" months of April/October - especially considering some of these destinations won't be open, resorts, hotels, restaurants, bars - all still closed.

Nice to see 3 Ryanair aircraft departing LBA before 0900; DUB, GRO and ALC with IBZ, ACE and AGP been the arrivals back at night.

Here is hoping to a successful and busy summer for the airline.

We are doing so gradually as you say. But we are planning to see some Summer routes begin into next week such as Dalaman, Rome, Barcelona and Naples to name some along with increases on routes that already operate.

Slowly though - them daily Dalaman flights don’t begin daily. Once/Twice weekly and all to get the operations etc up and running for example in Dalaman. It’s not just about the airlines operating the route, there has to be the hotels, resorts, bars and restaurants, for the tourists. And they slowly begin opening up through April ready for May.

Which is where my point comes from for Ryanair. Greek routes operate but most resorts etc won’t be open just yet.

Agreed. As for most places the summer season begins in May as is the case for Jet2. But it’s a start and is already looking busy from tommorow with plenty of FR action on the ramp to tommorow

I had to have my brain overwork to figure out what was LBA based and what was overseas based. Lovely to see -and if it pisses the GALBA lot off and every single Leeds Labour MP I'm all for it.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
