Perhaps some good news, maybe not for the other airports mentioned.

Along with Lufthansa suspending there route, I have come to learn that Aer Lingus is suspending the routes between Belfast City, Isle of Man and the summer seasonal Jersey.

Could this mean Liverpool is going to get added to Belfast City?

Aer Lingus, appear to be improving their Dublin Schedule from April and thereby making more Transatlantic options available. First arrival will be 08.15 , depart 0845 ( except Tues and Weds ) EI 3192
Tues and Weds 1040/ 11.10. EI 3192

1935 arrive , depart 20.05 ( except Tues, Weds and Saturday ) EI 3196.

I have a feeling that not everything is in place yet, should know shortly.

There seems to be 2 x LPL - DUB departures following one another today, which is a bit odd, EI 3195 at 11.50 and EI 3193 at 12.35 . Showing on Fr24 same for tomorrow too.

When I flew to Kuala Lumpur last year, I flew via DUB/DOH from LBA and it worked a treat, especially if you want to fly from your local airport.

When MAN is maximum 1 hour away by road/tail? Seems like a hefty detour.
You have not understood my post.

As Seasider said, some prefer to use their local airport, LBA being his example.

Besides what does it matter, if Aer Lingus and Qatar gain a few more passengers to and from Liverpool that's fine by me.

That really depends where you are starting from and traffic conditions.

Northern Rail is highly unreliable, there are regular cancelled trains from Liverpool to Manchester, so you have to build that into your plans.

From next April Aer Lingus's 13.10 departure moves to 11.10, which should be a better time for onward connections to the US

Think that might have been an LBA diversion as quite windy over here. Ironically our EAG AT76 from BHD landed though at similar time
Hi

Not sure , because that was an arrival on 1st December, quite a few days ago now.

There was an EI divert this morning arrival from Dublin, was meant to go to LBA EI FSL . Calm day here weather wise.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
