Gran Canaria is now showing on the holiday search engine. No flight times or start dates yet. Maybe released later today?

OMG, I am sooooooooooooo happy.

However does it come with anti water pistol protection ?

No more Jess Flynn

No more Ryanair scratchcards

No more TUI leased aircraft

The future is ORANGE :love::love::love::love:

Quick question when are easyjet putting lanzarote gran canaria and Copenhagen in sale as someone in my family would like to book it
I often wonder why some companies put their holidays on sale so late in the day. They miss at least a years forward bookings to other companies doing so. Still, it seems to work for them

Things have changed so much in the last 56 years! When I left school, and started working in the travel industry, the Summer bookings did not start until New Year's day. So the Summer 1969 programme went on sale on 1st January that year. All bookings done by telephone and with a queue of excited holiday makers awaiting their turn at the counter. TUI, let alone ThomsonFly, or Britannia Airways didn't exist - it would have been Euravia with a Constellation and the forerunners to Thomson Holidays were Skytours, Luxitours, Gaytours and Riviera Holidays.
My apologies for digressing.

Yes when I started in 1974 things had moved on as Britannia had finished with the Britannias and were moving on with 737-200 but I worked on our Channel Island programme and at that time no computer and we had an allocation of seats with many of the UK airlines but had to ring the hotels to make a booking and complete the booking with a telex(who remembers them even before fax machine)

I’ll ask the department who deals with the website side tomorrow at the meeting 😉 just got back from one of the potential new destinations for Birmingham.

*Should also add what kind of destinations would you like to be served?*
obviously asking for a friend 😏

Hurghada
Funchal
Inverness
Marsa alam
Tel Aviv

Basel - a business route which has been unserved for a very long time, in fact I can’t remember if it was ever served on a regular basis, maybe by Crossair back when they existed?

Gibraltar - unserved since Monarch

Marseille and/or Nice - the south of France is still underserved, I think.

Totally agree Gibraltar should be tried. It always had good loads when Monarch operated it.
South of France definitely needs more.
Valencia did well with Monarch. Ryanair are doing some now, but it would stand competition I think.
The Irish Republic away from Dublin would do well. Cork and Shannon are surely underserved currently .

Athens ?

Looks like Gran Canaria has been removed from it’s search box for easyJet holidays.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

All suggestions and others that I was surprised wasn’t mentioned are noted if they haven’t already been planned to operate ,will be looked at to see if viable and hopefully turned into some new routes.

Gran Canaria isn’t loaded as they noticed an error but will be loaded back shortly.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
