Flightradar24 schedule shows Sun Express using Airbus A320 on the Antalya - Leeds/Bradford route next week on Wednesday (October 30th) & Friday (November 1st) instead of the usual Boeing 737-800

They have 4+ Airbus A320 aircraft on lease like you say from Avion Express, Thoses been LY-MLG, LY-MLJ, LY-MLK & LY-MLN which all ware the basic Sun Express Livery

So the new additional 4th weekly (Mon) Sun Express flights were not due to start until May 26th, But they have now added 2x extra Leeds to Antalya rotations during April for the Easter Holidays to operate as follows.

Monday April 14th & 21st
SXS560 = AYT 06:45 - LBA 09:35 / SXS561 = LBA 10:25 - AYT 16:50

SUN EXPRESS NEW WINTER OPS.
Sun Express will start limited Winter ops from LBA on its Antalya route next winter 2025/2026 season with up to 4x weekly (Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun) flights operating for 2 weeks from October 26th up until November 9th 2025 as follows.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sundays (Oct 26th to Nov 9th 2025)
SXS560 = AYT 08:25 - LBA 10:15 / SXS561 = LBA 11:15 - AYT 18:40

Even better news if anyone fancies Christmas & New Years in Turkey!
Sun Express will operate 2x weekly (Fri & Sun) flights from Leeds to Antalya for a 3 week period over the Christmas & New Years 2025/2026 holiday season as follows.

Fridays & Sundays (Dec 19th 2025 to Jan 4th 2026)
SXS560 = AYT 08:25 - LBA 10:15 / SXS561 = LBA 11:15 - AYT 18:40

Its a route that could perhaps operate say x2 weekly in winter as i believe antalya is one of the milder climate destinations there during the winter months

Yeah I think LBA -Dalaman might come on for next summer 26 with Sun Express, especially if they get a few tour operators like TUI taking some seat allocation.

If it does happen. Look out for announcement late May or early June, as that tends to be the time Sun Expresx load up the next summer’s flights onto the website along with adding new routes.

I think not only that but must also be a reflection of high demand. And that's before we have new facilities to cater for even more pax.

Another update as I only noticed when checking my inbound flight on June 29th

From tomorrow all Sunday Antalya -Leeds flights up until August 31st will be operated by Avion Express (Malta) Airbus A320, it then reverts back to be operated by Sun Express’s own Boeing 737-800 from September 1st until the end of season in November.

Probably known that it will be an A320 for a while but would have sold as 738 which is less seats

Perhaps the 10 or so hadn't actually booked in the first place? You're assuming all the flights are fully booked, which is probably not the case. There's usually a few empty seats.

Booking trends have generally shifted back to last minute so "very" unlikely flights were fully booked
