The A220 is still quite a big aircraft to fill on a daily basis (which is the frequency i’d have thought CWL would want). Maybe an aptly timed 4/5 weekly service would do the job, providing it’s to CDG and with AF for connections.

There is HOP! with their E190s.

There's been a change for KLM for Summer 2026.
German Airways will operate the 17.15 departure and KLM Cityhopper the 09.45 departure. The evening departure will be E190 with Cityhopper operating the E190 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. In total Cardiff will see 11 E190 departures and 3 E175 departures, 2728 seats onsale. Would be nice if all 14 departures were all E190.

There has been at least one cancelled flight a day since Friday or Saturday. Cardiff isn’t the only airport affected mind.
Both are cancelled tomorrow but it won't be just Cardiff but unfortunately for Cardiff it's half it's departures for the day.
It'll only have 2 Ryanair departures now.

Yeah, my daughter and her fiancee got stuck in the chaos on Saturday. We dropped them off at 3:30 for the 5:25 flight, and came back to watch the progress of their plane PH-EXF on FR. It was sitting on the tarmac at Schiphol, waiting to take off for its Newcastle flight, and already running over 3 hours late...

As my daughter and fiancee live over the far side of the Netherlands, they had booked a room in Hoofddorp, near the airport, but it was 2:00 a.m. local time before they got there.

I see from FR that PH-EXF hasn't moved from Schiphol since.

I saw a post the other day that said KLM only had 9 short haul flights in the air through their entire network.
Flying through Amsterdam next week so keeping my fingers crossed it's cleared by then.

Was looking at the seatmaps for the AirFrance Cardiff-Paris flights more specifically the flights that aren't the returns for the French fans.
The flight on the 13/2 atm looks to have roughly 100 free seats, the flight on the 14/2 has about 120 and the 09.20 flight on 15/2 looks like it has 150 free seats.
I know it's possible that many may still have to select seats and there's a week to go but it could give indication of the loads for each flight.
One thing I noticed as well is that the business class cabin onsale on my flight on 13/2 is quite small. 2 rows it looks like while on the others its 6 rows onsale. I'd assume if a business class ticket was purchased lounge access would be included under the KLM agreement though whether it's worth the extra is up to the individual passengers.

Yeah, I saw that as well. I'm too stingy to fork out a fiver each, each way to reserve a seat. The fact that there are still plenty of seats left with just over a week to go, suggests to me that we won't have any problems getting a couple of seats together if we just rock up on the day.
We're going on the 14th and coming back on the 16th.

I tend to pay in advance to guarantee a window seat but looking at the seat map especially for the 14/2 you should get plenty of options.

Looks like this evenings 17.35 departure will be operated by an E195 E2. PH-NXY according to FR24. Nice upgrade.

According to FR24 the 10:20 service was cancelled. The inbound flight arrived on time so might have gone tech.

KLM and Air France on the ground at the same time. Would be nice if that was a more permanent arrangement.

Also looks like they got new AF/KLM zone boarding signs for these flights.

Do we know if the flight was busy?
It was practically full.

I was told tomorrow's and Sunday's flights won't be full. Looking at the passengers there were a lot of couples and families with many of the latter going to Disneyland. The crew mentioned onward connections when we landed but whether that's as part of their standard announcement idk. Hopefully we'll see Air France return in the future even if it's just for a short season or next year's rugby.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
