So they flew Ryanair then! Given that they only got through the first round of the play offs last weekend, I am surprised that there were enough empty seats on the flight for them all to get on the flight. Obviously a few empty seats possibly due to it being a Thursday flight.

I'm rather more surprised they haven't flown to Barcelona with Jet2.com, As I understand that they are one of Leeds Rhino's sponsor's.

Sheffield Steelers came through Leeds Bradford Airport this week en route to Belfast for the game against the Giants.

The Steelers had a 5-1 victory thanks to a hat trick by Colin Shields.

...and the big surprise of the evening was the Bantams won on a penalty shootout. So a big congrats to the Bantams!!!!

Bradford winning on penalties is no surprise Aviador. They've won nine shootouts in a row now. But for Arsenal it must be painful as they flew back from Leeds BRADFORD and a Ryanair divert with the flight number 442.

Snoop Dogg flew into Leeds Bradford airport today.

Nobody seems to be talking about Durham Tees Valley these days...
Another team who flew from the nearest large airport and not their local one was Liverpool who used Manchester.

Leeds United flew to Italy from Manchester last year also.

Not exactly a celebrity passing LBA but this is the closest thread I could get.

This afternoon I was travelling on a Bristol single decker bus in one of the south Bristol suburbs when I was astounded to see Eddie Gray, the great former Leeds United and Scotland footballer, board the vehicle. He was alone and got off at the Harbourside in the central area of the city.

Eddie was a footballer I always admired and I was privileged to have a few words with him and shake his hand. As I suspected, he was in Bristol in connection with this evening's Bristol City v Leeds United Championship game.

One of the world's leading electronic music act "Above & Beyond" were booked on this evenings BE478 Manchester to Belfast City flight but were transported by road over to Leeds/Bradford due to the said aircraft's earlier fog divert.

Believe it or not Ex England Rugby union head Coach Stuart Lancaster often goes in my local pub. For privacy reasons I'm not going to say where it is, Those members who know me personally might know where I'm on about, so i'm also hopeful they won't share that info publicly on here!

It's no secret England RUFC have pre-season trained at West Park Leeds RUFC in the past.

You said yourself he's an ex coach and you're talking rugby league so to be fair I seriously doubt he has any stalkers who will be bothered about which local haunt he frequents.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
