Good news and adds to the choice of destinations available. 2 x 733s replaced by presumably 738s next year so logical getting more longer sectors in the mix to help keep them busy

Update. It's back and doing the Nice flight at lunchtime.
It needs scraping but not sure it will make it to the kacker's yard. The amount of money that's been spent on that over the last 18 months must be eye-watering. Someone needs a right bollocking over this aircraft with the money spent on a dead one.The Faro rotation now showing on FR to be flown by B738 G-JZHD and GDFO not showing on any flight.

Jet2 announces two exclusive new destinations from Leeds Bradford Airport for Summer 2027

New Routes, Announcements
UK consumer champion, Jet2, has today announced the launch of two stunning brand-new and exclusive destinations for Summer 2027 from Leeds Bradford Airport. The new additions give customers and independent travel agents even more choice when it comes to holidays in Greece.
The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator has responded to demand from holidaymakers looking to book ahead and enjoy a fantastic summer getaway by launching flights and holidays to Santorini and Preveza for the first time. Both routes are exclusive to Jet2 from the airport.
Today’s announcement comes in response to continued demand from holidaymakers looking to enjoy some much-needed sunshine and gives customers and independent travel agents across Yorkshire much more choice and flexibility.
The new routes announced today are as follows:
The addition of flights and holidays to Santorini means that Jet2 customers in the region can access a picture-perfect destination which is on many people’s bucket lists. As well as soaking up the breathtaking views along the caldera, holidaymakers can see the world-famous sunset at Oia, enjoy the local vineyards, or take in one of a number of key archaeological sites, such as the ancient Akrotiri, a Minoan settlement preserved under volcanic ash.
- Preveza – weekly Sunday services operating from 23rd May to 10th October 2027.
- Santorini – weekly Thursday services operating from 6th May to 7th October 2027.
With flights and holidays now available to Preveza, customers in Yorkshire can access the Epirus region, which offers holidaymakers everything from 60km of beautiful beaches to enchanting history and exciting nightlife. Linked to the Greek mainland by Greece’s first undersea tunnel, this charming region opens up sensational seaside destinations you see on picturesque postcards, including Parga, a coastal town surrounded by stunning islands and beaches, as well as Lefkas that includes traditional Greek resorts such as Nidri, Nikiana, Lygia and Agios Nikitas, and Meganisi.
The award-winning airline and tour operator’s Summer 2027 programme from Leeds Bradford Airport is the largest to date. It includes almost two million seats on sale in total and 53 routes including four brand-new routes, two of them (Preveza and Santorini) are exclusive to Jet2. In addition to the new destinations being announced today, Jet2 will also operate to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheik for the first time next year.
The UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline have confirmed plans to operate as normal this summer, after receiving positive updates from fuel suppliers who have reported increased production and additional imports of jet fuel.
As well as leading the way for not cancelling flights and looking after customers, Jet2 was the first UK airline and tour operator to reassure customers that it will not introduce surcharges on any booked flights or holidays to cover cost increases, for example jet fuel. Put simply, the price at which customers book with Jet2 is the price they will pay. In an industry-leading move, Jet2 removed the surcharge provision across all flights and holidays, even though it has never been applied.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, said: “We are seeing continued demand for our award-winning flights and holidays and many people wanting to book ahead for Summer 2027, so we are delighted to respond with this expanded programme from Leeds Bradford Airport. With two stunning, brand-new routes being announced today, our Summer 2027 programme gives holidaymakers exactly what they want – more choice and flexibility. We look forward to taking customers on their well-deserved holidays and showcasing our award-winning customer service to them as they head off to these new destinations.”
Declan Maguire, Aviation Director at Leeds Bradford Airport, added: “Expanding our route network with Jet2 to include Preveza and Santorini for Summer 2027 gives Yorkshire even more choice when planning the perfect getaway. From the scenic coastline of Preveza to the iconic appeal of Santorini, these additions bring something new and exciting to Leeds Bradford Airport’s portfolio. Variety really is the spice of life, and this network development is all about giving Yorkshire greater choice, flexibility and inspiration for their next trip.”
We had Santorini as a Jet2 destination for several years but it stopped for no apparent reason- I think only a couple of years ago, strange its now been reinstated.Full Press Release Issued by Jet2 regards new routes to Preveza & Santorini
No doubt it , and Preveza, will replace flights on a route where frequency is being reduced. Maybe Turkey. We had Santorini as a Jet2 destination for several years but it stopped for no apparent reason- I think only a couple of years ago, strange its now been reinstated.
Next flight is "Krak ow"FO and "split". Quite a worrying combination for a tech prone aircraft!
This or next summer? Not sure if this happened recently or not. But I've just noticed Jet2 have retimed there Leeds-Antalya flights on Wednesday & Sundays to an early morning departure and mid-afternoon arrival back into Leeds instead of the usual tea-time departure & early hours arrival back. Wonder if the axing by Sun Express has had anything to do with it?
Meanwhile Leeds-Dalaman has had flights cancelled on Wednesdays June 10th and 17th along with Tuesdays June 23rd, 30th & July 7th.
This or next summer?
