  • 2 overseas trips in prospect next year. To paraphrase JFK , I could say "I am a doughnut" and to the "homeland"

no, my brother dropped it in conversation casually yesterday. The Peru trip was meant to be February but now September/October and Berlin 1st week in January. He said ts roughly £1500ish and £300ish respectively.
54th annual family picnic done and dusted. Not for the 1st time, passers-by wanted to join in given the amount of food brought

Sounds good. Why 54th? Is this a trans-generational event?

It is. Started off with my mum and dad, one of my aunts and a family friend and got bigger...now it's a total of 23. Takes a bit of co-ordinating. The 40th got into the local press and the 50th saw Lyme Park erect a special marquee for us (all bar 1 have been there).
RIP Bradley Lowery. No child should have to go through a horrible disease like cancer.

It's a dreadful disease for anyone but for a young child it's almost unthinkable. I'm very impressed with Mr Defoe. He contributed greatly to Bradley's enjoyment of the short time he had left.RIP.
Would have been rude to ignore £22 return fare to London from Manchester on Virgin Trains

No way would I be paying their normal prices! Every time I've been to London, it's been a sale price. Next time, i may go for the 1st class option at £60 return
Got to love living near Old Trafford in gig season. Radiohead is on tonight.

yes! Just have to swing open my balcony door and you can hear it from a mile and a half away.
Always awkward selecting around 300 photos to fill a photo album when you've taken about 15,000 in the last 3 years.
World Taekwondo Federation has renamed itself to just World Taekwondo. The age of abbreviations just claimed it's 1st "victim". WTF!
Yay! Can finally look forward to having time off work. 16 days to take but not able to use weeks at the beginning or end of months

Got 15 days booked now. Became a bit more restricted in that my holidays were not allowed to clash with the holidays of 4 people in different departments as work needed to make sure the office would run smoothly
Cannot fault anyone who appeared in the concert. Big shout out to Ariana Grande for organising it all. #OneLoveManchester

It's surreal. Hear the helicopters occasionally but lots of emergency sirens around. Doesn't help that there's loads of building work going on with masonry chucked to the ground/skips sounding like mini explosions
Emergency taxed AGAIN in my new role where I work. Someone is going to get a flea in their ear and a fist in their eye.
So Italy's Serie A ban a player for pointing out racist behaviour & walking off but no action against clubs as not enough fans were racist!
Went back to Tatton Park today and one of the photos I've taken may soon be on the National Trust social media outlets.
So Middlesbro have won a league match for the 1st time this year. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to celebrate?
Funny how I've been emergency taxed in my new role where I work. So a tax refund to look forward to eventually.

Yes but it's no fun while they're taxing you to the hill...

Can't really complain as just over £4k got paid to me with the redundancy payout. Very strange to open an envelope to see 1 wage slip showing the redundancy and holiday pay I was entitled to plus the 2 weeks wages for the old role, then see the 2nd wage slip for the new role with emergency tax. Have to take the P45 they posted back to work tomorrow!,

It's a bit rubbish of them to put you on an emergency code considering they should already have your NI number and tax code.
so my brother made it back safe and sound from his trip to Nepal. Can't wait to see the photos and hear the stories!
