Yeh im hoping it’s incorrect too! Hate the M1!!
I’m sure if someone did some digging on the bookings website it would become obvious where the aircraft were based from!
No idea why any pilot would swap orange to silver at EDI/GLA or any base for that matter!
If easyJet come to LBA they will have no issue finding pilots locally!!!
New base incoming.
Looking on Jet2.com it seems flights and holidays are bookable from Luton from April 1st 2025
17 destinations
Ibiza, Majorca, Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Crete, Rhodes, Zante, Verona, Faro, Madeira, Alicante, Girona, Reus, Antalya, Dalaman

This may be a twist of words in the press release you have quoted.
The official release to staff reads exactly like quoted in your last paragraph, but without the reference to any airport.
So it seems some 'news' is to come, but who knows what!!
Imagine a telematics policy with your car insurance, then apply that to the A321 engine's.

That is what Pug is hinting at!
Manchester and diversion is a topic of great conversation.
9.5 times out of 10 they will refuse you on a divert due to capacity and the ongoing works. Therefore, the only way to divert there is by declaring a fuel emergency!
It was bang on limits. Giving it a try and using the fuel to do so would have left us with minimum fuel.
Diverting on minimum fuel isn’t fun.
At the time we attempted a cat1 the reported weather was well above cat1 minimums!
