    Imagine a telematics policy with your car insurance, then apply that to the A321 engine's. Then add terrain clearance and short runway into the mix, and that's why the 321 won't be coming to LBA for a while! That is what Pug is hinting at!

    Manchester and diversion is a topic of great conversation. 9.5 times out of 10 they will refuse you on a divert due to capacity and the ongoing works. Therefore, the only way to divert there is by declaring a fuel emergency!

    It was bang on limits. Giving it a try and using the fuel to do so would have left us with minimum fuel. Diverting on minimum fuel isn’t fun. At the time we attempted a cat1 the reported weather was well above cat1 minimums!
