Following Ryanair's decision to leave Belfast City Flybe has announced it will fly twice daily EMA-BHD from 31 October 2010.

Flybe have just announced that East Midlands will become a new base. The UK regional airline is launching 5 new routes to Amsterdam, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Jersey and basing 2 aircraft at the airport commencing from the winter 2012/13 schedule.

All 5 routes from EMA are currently operated by bmi baby. I wonder if they know something others don't?

Since BA own shares in Flybe then unfortunately I suspect they do.

I don't think anybody saw that one coming. I expect Flybe will do well at East Midlands, especially with the prospect of Bmibaby disappearing over the next twelve months or so. Flybe has the equipment to make some of the less dense routes work well.

Not meant to be unkind but I've no doubt it sounds like it if I suggest that the vultures are gathering...........................but that's business, airline or anything else.

EMA-CDG ends 13/01/14 along with a few other UK routes.

.......Following the recently announced reconfiguration of its route network, the airline can now also confirm that it is withdrawing 30 routes of which 14 normally operate for summer only.

Passengers affected by the route withdrawals are being contacted and offered, where possible, an alternative Flybe flight or a full refund on their ticket.

Commenting on the new schedule, Paul Simmons, Flybe's Chief Commercial Officer said: "We recently announced that we would be reconfiguring our route network as part of a carefully planned strategy to optimise our operations. We have since taken a long hard look at all the routes we fly to make sure that our new schedule is what our customers really want and that they operate at the best possible times for everyone. The extent of our confirmed regional network, with more than 150 routes on sale for next summer, means that no other airline has the regional and onward international connectivity offered by Flybe."

List of route withdrawals as follows:

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
