Does anybody know when Thomson, Monarch & Ryanair start to end their summer operations. I.e the dates when routes are ending. When monarch & Ryanair will reduce there based a/c and Thomson/Sunwing leave?

Also are we only expecting Thomson to operate 1 weekly flight to TFS this winter? Do we have days times for this operation?

As always thank you in advance.

I think the Thomson Tenerife service starts tomorrow. It arrives at 13:45 then departs 15:20. Is it going to be operated by the 737-800?

The winter schedule normally starts on the weekend when the clocks change. So that will be the weekend of October 27th & 28th. But you'll find that Jet2, Monarch & Ryanair will run some extra flights until the 1st or 2nd weekend in November due to the School Holidays.

The based Sunwing Boeing 737-800WL returns to Canada on Friday, November 1st as the charter flights have always changed on November 1st and May 1st. The 2nd based Monarch Airbus A320 is only required in service at LBA until Sunday, November 3rd along with the 3rd based ryanair Boeing 737-800WL if I remember correctly

Well it looks like the travel agent is blaming all the Hajj flights trouble on Business Air according to this report on the Bradford based Telegraph and Argus newspaper website.

Bradford travel agencies pay out on Hajj flight woe
By Rhys Thomas, T&A Reporter

Two Bradford travel firms say they have been left thousands of pounds out of pocket after an airline left 266 Hajj pilgrims grounded.

Sky-Fly Connections and Al Noor Travel and Tours had arranged for the passengers to fly to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from Leeds-Bradford Airport.

But the Thailand-based Business Air plane that was supposed to take them was grounded by the Civil Aviation Authority last Wednesday because it did not have the required paperwork.

The jet was told to leave the airport without passengers.

oth Sky-Fly and Al Noor said their upset passengers had been let down by Business Air – not them.

Sohail Bhatti, manager at the family-run Sky-Fly Connections, said his firm was about £15,000 out of pocket. He said about £11,000 went on hotel rooms.

Sky-Fly had to put 107 people up in hotels for two nights with people living locally returning to their homes.

Mr Bhatti said: “We have paid for everything. We have paid for coaches to take people home, coaches to hotels, and hotel food.”

He said 182 passengers flew to Jeddah from Leeds-Bradford at 12.30pm yesterday with Greek airline Hermes. Sky-Fly secured and paid for flights from Manchester and Heathrow on Thursday for the other 184 passengers.

He said: “All the passengers seemed happy. They had been paid expenses and provided with food. They have not lost any money, just a day-and-a-half of their trip.

“They know the Hajj is a very spiritual journey. It is a journey of tests all the way.”

He said Sky-Fly would try to claim the money back from Business Air, and added: “We regularly charter for Hajj pilgrimages every year. The last four or five years we have used Jet2, but they pulled out this year.”

Ibrar Mahmood, of family-run Al Noor in Killinghall Road, said it had been a nightmare trying to find alternative flights to get the stranded passengers on their way to Jeddah.

Speaking last night, Mr Mahmood said: “It’s been unbelievable trying to sort this mess out.

“It wasn’t our fault. We booked the tour through Sky-Fly which was responsible for booking the airline. It’s the airline’s fault. We don’t know exactly what went wrong but it was something to do with paperwork.

“It’s cost us thousands of pounds.”

There are 2 jet2 flights showing on the arrivals board tomorrow morning from lille.

LS 124C at 09:20

LS 121C at 09:30

Does anyone know why they have been down in Lille?

Thanks

They are for B&Q, taking employees out to a trade show. There have been numerous ones today and will be a few tomorrow too from other UK Airports.

One from yesterday which seems to have gone unnoticed. Embrear 135 legacy G-HUBY was noted departing LBA early morning after night stopping as it positioned in on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile I understand that RAF Northolt based Royal Flight BAe 146-100, ZE700 did some circuit bashing using flight no "NOH40" at LBA today and Dornier 328Jet. M-BETY arrived into Leeds at around 19:35 this evening from Germany as well.

@cmj

UK flights operated by Cityhopper & Flybe use D6 at Schiphol yes, with bus out to the Bravo apron - the aircraft will park remotely.

For Schengen country flights Cityhopper uses the B Pier with a combination of bus gates again & also semi connected gates .

As the UK is not part of the Schengen treaty and extra border & security checks are required - the LBA flight will be sticking at D6 for now. Quite good really as its more central, running from K pier to B on a late inbound connection is a nightmare!

See pic of B Pier below:

Good news. As I understand that Thailand based Business Air have been given permission from both the UK's CAA and Saudi authorities to fly the Sky fly connections Hajj punters back from Madinah into Leeds next week using the Boeing 767-300 again.

3x flights are due to be operated between the 27th and 29th October.

Been told that Thailand based Business Air will operate 2x Boeing 767-300 Hajj flights into Leeds from Medinah this coming Monday, October 28th. The 1st flight is due to arrive in at 07:15 while the 2nd is due at 15:15. I understand there is a possibility that it maybe 2x different aircraft as well.
Meanwhile Air Mediterranee/Hermes Airlines‎ will also operate a 3rd flight back from Medinah into Leeds on Tuesday, October 29th using a Airbus A321-100. I have no ETA for this one as yet.

I agree lets hope they all get in through the incoming storm on Monday, Saying that I've just looked at the weather forecast and the predictions so far seem to suggest that the South of the country is in for a real battering compared to us up North. The Met Office has just issued Yellow weather warnings for Northern Parts of England while Amber warnings have been issued for the South of England and Wales. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/...&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1382655600

This biz movement seems to have gone unnoticed. Doiner 328Jet, N430FJ arrived into Leeds yesterday morning at around 07:30 direct from Goose Bay (USA). I understand that is currently still sat on the Multiflight ramp today.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
