Eastern Airways based Saab 2000, G-CIEC has just positioned out as EZE54P. Didn't hear his clearance, but I hear Air Traffic Controller give them direct routing to "Trent" just after the (SID) standard instrument departure off runway 14. So possibly East Midlands or Birmingham?

Understand early tomorrow(0630) we have an Orange2fly A.320 positioning in to operate a charter to Perpigan, returning around midnight.
This would tie in with the fact Huddersfield Giants play Catalan Drgons, kick off 1715.

Operating as follows. Hope it gets away before the snow arrives!
CLJ917 = LBA 08:30 PGF 11:00 / CLJ918 = PGF 22:15 LBA 22:45

So is it the A.320 of Orange2fly as CLJ is code for Cello Jet based at Birmingham, where the aircraft is supposed to be positioning in from?

A friend of mine sent me this photo of a murky Stand 14 at LBA. A welcome different visitor to our airfield. Let's hope the weather in the south of France is better.
Not exactly a new aircraft for LBA though, was originally G-MIDU of British Midland :):)

Not sure about weather in South of France but he has problem at this end.
Queue of around 6 outbounds 2 inbounds, LVP's in force so long delays.
To add to problems the M62 is closed between Gildersome and Chain Bar so don't think he pax are even here yet.

SAAB 2000 G-CDKA(Eastflight 9610) departed to Biggin Hill(1935)
Presumably with Huddersfield Town who play Brighton tomorrow.

Lear Jet 35 D-CFOR(Lupus 117) being veactored onto ILS, runway 14(1945)
Overshooting a flying past tower, left hand main gear not showing down and locked.
Gear appears to be ok according to tower so is joining down wind visually to land.

Any reason why they dont just fly into Shoreham Airport also known as Brighton City Airport....Biggin Hill is still a trek for them and I cant see the point.

Would think there were quite a few reasons
Brighton City Airport closes at 2000 prompt every day.
Very limited hanlding facitities
No radar

Plus its only about a 1 hour drive to Bigin Hill.

SAAB 2000 G-CERY(Eastflight 9611) was used for Huddersfield Town's return flight from Biggin Hill arrving at 2055.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
