G-DRTC(Channex 95RT) inbound from Newcastle(1500)
G-DRTL(Channex 09SP) pushed back for radar vectored circuit*1500), return to stand with small technical problem

At the same time A.320 G-HLYF(Channex 050B) is directly overhead Leeds at 20,000'on Air Test out of Manchester

I saw what looked like a 747 about forty minutes ago. It was east of the airfield, heading northwest at approximately 20'000 feet. Probably out of Doncaster or East Midlands.

Couple of Jet2 movements today

Boeing 737-800, G-DRTA positioned out to London Stansted at 13:00 as "EXS050B"
Boeing 737-800, G-JZBF positioned in from London Stansted at 14:45 as "EXS24SM"
Boeing 737-800, G-GDFJ has just departed runway 32 as "EXS054B" for 1+ left hand curcuit and ILS approach

Eclipse Jet 2-TABS being vectored onto ILS runway 14(1240) inbound from Guernsey

At same time Cessna F.406 G-MAFA is airbourne crew training as "Air Task 03"

Why would they use Doncaster in preference to LBA? I assume Leeds is open and fitting in around other traffic isn't an issue.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
