The Premiership transfer window is now closed, but the LBA First Visitor window is still open!

Two more airliner first LBA visitors are programmed for today. KLM Embraer 195-E2 PH-NXH should operate the mid morning Amsterdam rotation, and easyJet Airbus 320 G-EZWA should operate the afternoon Belfast International rotation. Subject to change!

Well Dieng went for more money at Nice, then failed his medical. Karma. A narrow escape for Leeds if he's prepared to go back on his word with the plane on the apron.
Leeds signed Wilfrid Gnonto instead from FC Zurich. So there may well be an in-bound from over there to come.
Meanwhile the aircraft sent to Nice yesterday, F-HPUR, is heading into Leeds today from Lille.

You know the answer to that one you cheeky so and so. My season ticket defo lies with the other "city" in LBA!! Not that we contribute to LBA movements of course. Coach everywhere for us - at least for now!
Before we get back on topic, you’re not alone!

Tbf to LUFC they have got off to a good start so let’s hope they stay in the PL as that will be good for LBA visitors. Hopefully in 3 seasons time we can start contributing too as there does seem to be a bigger focus on finally getting out of L2. PL might be a big ask for Hudds this season and the way Halifax have started they could be going the opposite way and be even further from the PL. Lets hope our RL teams continue to contribute with journeys t/f Catalans and Toulouse! So there is a good link between WY sport and LBA movements so not completely off topic - just a tiny bit

Yep just noticed it. 2 flights returning back.

G-GDFK operating LBA-IBZ
G-GDFG operating LBA-PMI LS227

There are other flights to the Balearics (from other airports) turning round - something happening out there?
LS227 now being operated on 737 800 G-JZHE with an arrival time of 2226. It's operating as LS227D.
The Ibiza is going out as the LS263D but is showing a check in opens time on the departures. Seems odd as all the pax will have checked in earlier for the aborted flight. Either way, its not even close to departing yet.
Palma and Ibiza arrivals show a few delayed flights but nothing to suggest there was any problems other than with these two aircraft. Very odd if both went tech together and even more odd that one turned back when already down over France.

I didn’t see any other flights returning so I’m not sure if there were any issues there and checking IBZ and PMI it seems like a normal day with the odd delays.

I think some flights from other airports turned back too. Probably strike action but needs confirmation.
I can’t see it being strike action as there isn’t any planned for PMI or IBZ as far as I know. And even if there was it would be strange to use different aircraft afterwards and even depart (they would delay the flight if striking was the case)

Update- GDFK had a tech problem.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
