Was in Menston this afternoon around 13:35hrs and noticed what looked to be a B737 in Astraeus livery arriving on Rwy 14.

It was a B737 variant and was white with a blue fin from all accounts, but I'm pretty certain it wasn't Jet2's Holiday livery!

Hi tomleeds

As Lamix1W rightly points out the aircarft you saw at LBA this afternoon was A Royal Thai Air Force Boeing 737-400, HS-CMV/11-111. It did a missed approach and went back to Farnborough operating using flight number VM904

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Now that is a sight we don't see very often at LBA. Its not been bad recently for unusual visitors, what with this one and the Qatar Airways A320 last year. Nice to see something different. It was good to see the Air Europa back yesterday too, even if they do have a boring livery. For a Spanish carrier they really ought to brighten it up a bit!

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I thought it was a missed approach and that it would come back round and try again. According to someone at the cemetery it was checking the ILS system. Anyway here's the pics I got of it....

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

It wasn't checking the ILS, as there's nothing wrong with it.

It was a Thai VIP flying it that wanted to come and do an approach at LBA.

Jet2's spare back-up Boeing 757-200, G-LSAI positioned into Leeds this morning as LS041A to operate the LS231/232 Barcelona services due to been an aircraft due to Boeing 737-300, G-GDKF night stopping at Doncaster and operating last nights LS347/348 Düsseldorf service this morning

Meanwhile Boeing 737-300QC, G-CELY is returning back from Budapest after having some work done this afternoon as LS052K.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

There is an arrival scheduled for 2355 hrs from Heraklion showing a strange flight number GSUEWTCX8145.

Has anyone any idea which Company it is and what sort of airframe it will be?

If it is a mystery to everyone can someone who will be around when it arrives take note and post the answer on here in due course?

I'm intrigued. Never seen such a long winded flight number :s_dunno

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

It will prob be a computer issue.

It's Tcx8145 which is the flight number and GSUEW which is the aircraft registration.

Hope that helps.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I understand that American (N) registered Boeing 737-BBJ is due into Leeds-Bradford on Thursday evening.

I don't know if its related, But I wonder if this has anything to do with the Leeds Utd takeover? As things seemed have moved on this evening with reports stating that a potential investor has been granted exclusivity for a period of due diligence.

Well RAF's royal flight BAe 146-CC2, ZE701 was logged at 07:25 operating with flight code KRF17, So this could be the machine in question with the PM onboard

Also found out that the Boeing 737BBJ that's due into Multiflight this evening is N7600K. ETA 19:15 - ETD 20:15.

Without making this in to a political debate.

The Prime Minister made an unannounced visit Todmorden this morning to meet with council officials, emergency service staff and to see the flood damage to people's properties after last weeks flash floods.

Where is it coming from ?

Aviador I don't know the destination it has come from or where its heading out to very soon. But looking on the flightradar24 website It looks to have come across the Atlantic from somewhere in the USA.

The aircraft belongs to Jim Goodnight who is the CEO of SAS Institute Inc. See more about him and his company here, http://www.sas.com/company/about/bios/jgoodnight.html

Can tell you after doing a bit of research he has quite a lot of money, According to the 2007 Forbes 400 list, he was worth 8.7 billion U.S. dollars. According to the 2010 Forbes 400 list, he is now worth 6.9 billion U.S. dollars and he also went to Harvard.

We all share that hope that a new era is beginning at Leeds Heather. To stay on topic, what time did the BBJ depart?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
