The Transavia Boeing 737-800, PH-HZA on lease to Jet2 positioned back to Amsterdam this afternoon as EXS42A.

But it looks like Jet2 are leasing in a Titan Airways Boeing 757 aircraft again tomorrow. As we have an EXS41R due to position in from London Stansted at 08:20 in the morning....

This mornings Dublin flight was operated by B737-400 OM-AEX of Air Explore and G-POWH B757-200 of Titan just arrived from Stansted as lbaspotter predicted.

hi all
does any-body out there know why jet2 are leasing in so many aircraft this year?
have they got some of there own fleet with major tech problems
not enough aircraft to go around
some aircraft away on c or d checks
= ============== at the paint shops
it must be costing a small fortune leasing in

Certainly Philip Meeson report to the city on Thursday made bleak reading for those of us wishing to see higher passenger numbers at LBA.
He reported a doubling of customers to Jet2 holidays, 4% increase in profits but a very gloomy prediction of the airline business at the moment.
He stated this years figures seem to badly effected by the world cup and as we can see from the 20% price reduction, not a lot the airlines can do.
dart shares crashed 24% on the news.
We wondered why no increase in routes this year, they obviously knew things we did not.
I am sure Mr Meeson can still smile when he looks at Ryanair accounts, they would love to accept Jet2 figures. When you have to find an extra 300 million a year to cover the new aircraft as so much dearer, to the the purchase after 9/11, Jet2 aircraft policy must look very attractive now. M O L did a fantastic deal with Boeing late 2001, however, impossible to replicate 13 years after, chickens are coming home to roost big style.

Does anyone have any idea what the Citation 525 was that went out at 08:24 yesterday morning under call sign Are Berlin 329A?

Hope this helps 001

IATA-Code: VY
ICAO-Code: VLG
Airline: Vueling Airlines
Country: Spain
Callsign: Vueling

IATA-Code: VG
ICAO-Code: VLM
Airline: VLM Airlines
Country: Belgium
Callsign: Rubens

So it begs the question, is it VLM or Vueling turning up from Paris, given the VLG (vueling) code was used but Fokker 50 as aircraft type, which vueling dont have?

VG9616 is on lba arrivals as 16:50 on wednesday. But on paris charles de gaul departures as a departure time of 17:00 and arrival time at lbia of 18:10 ???

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
