Hi

Looks like Jet2 maybe short of aircraft again as it looks like we have an EXS061J due to position into Leeds/Bradford from Amsterdam at 06:30 tomorrow morning.

Correndon 737/800 PH-CDE positioning in to operate all weekend.
Hope it is Cat3 capable!!

737/800 PH-CDE just set off the Murcia(207), it last flight for Jet2 before positioning home to Amsterdam at 2240 tonight as '062J.

It flew right over my house 2 DME west of LBA heading straight towards the airport, amazing aircraft!

Was walking my dog in bramley, I heard it first then it appeared above what looked no more than a little higher than the houses. It flew straight over my head before banking to the left and preforming a 180 degree turn and heading off back towards the airport. Amazing and wonderful sight. :whiteflag:

[offtopic]Whenever I think of the Vulcan I remember the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and several Vulcan bombers kept in a state of immediate readiness and reputedly armed with nuclear weapons (so we later learned) at Filton Airfield, Bristol. It seems this was the nearest we came to World War 3.[/offtopic]

I saw it from my back garden in Cookridge, it seemed strangely quiet. At first I thought it was an American Rockwell B1 (due to the lack of noise and the angle at which i saw it).

Does anyone know the registration of the German Learjet that was sat on Multiflight all day yesterday. The first part was D-CGF* but the engine covers covered the last letter. Also, we had another Serbian biz jet yesterday afternoon YU-SPB which was apparently bringing in the prospective new LUFC head coach.

The Lear Jet 60 is D-CGEO and is due out this morning.

Wrong on the Citation YU-SPB, which came from Malta bringing home the 4 people who flew to Malta in YU-SPC last week.

And for the record we also had a Czech Citation Sovereign OK-UMI yesterday evening.

Getting the Vulcan to do that fly past was one of the highlights of my career. The BA Shuttle asked what the Vulcan was doing. When told a low approach and asked if he wanted to wait the response was "Hell Yeah!"

Considering it was on its way back from its last display of 2014 made it even more special.

I hope you all enjoyed it:)

I managed to get a couple of not so good pictures (Using me Mobile Phone) of the Corendon Dutch Airlines Boeing 737-800WL, PH-CDE at LBA in poor conditions on Saturday which was on lease to Jet2.

Even though I haven't seen the Vulcan at Leeds/Bradford before I was at the Southport Airshow yesterday (In glorious sunshine) where she displayed before returning back home to Donny via both Leeds and Blackpool airports.

Saying that It was a privilege to witness the 2x Lancaster Bombers in what was there last UK display together before the Canadian Lancaster makes her returns trip home over the Atlantic Ocean tomorrow.

Twice the Vulcan has been to LBA this year and twice I have not seen or heard it, despite being in the house and having a clear view of the flightpath. To say I am gutted would be an understatement, particularly considering it didn't take part in the Duxford Airshow on the 14th September either (it only took part on the 13th). I still haven't seen it fly and the last one I saw in the air was at Church Fenton, many many moons ago.

White heather you must see it! I have been on the hangar tour at DSA when XH558 was under mx and also seen her fly at Waddington in 2013. Theres now only one more flying season left so the clock is well and truly ticking! Wonderful aircraft and such great people who look after it!

Enhance Aero EMB.145(F-HAFS, subject to change) due 1500 tomorrow from Perpignan with the Catalan Dragons for their match with Huddersfield Giants.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
