The Prime Minister David Cameron made another flying visit into Leeds this afternoon. He arrived inbound from Glasgow using chartered Eastern Airways BAe Jetstream 41, G-MAJY as EZE9571 which was thenparked on the Multiflight Apron. He later departed at 16:30 as EZE9572 to Oxford.

Can anyone put a reg to the Gulfstream that landed at 06:45 this morning? It did not show on FR24 so am guessing it could be military. Cheers.

Could the USAF C37A, 09-05252 be your machine "Bigman"? As this landed about the time you mention as SAM721.

Also understand Global, N4T Is parked on the Multiflight apron along with Boeing 737-300CJ, 9H-MTF.

Thanks lbaspotter. That's exactly what I saw, which explains why it was a no show on FR24.

Here are the KLM DC3 scheduled timings for its LBA visit on Wednesday.

Amsterdam: 11:00 - Leeds: 12:30
Leeds: 13:30 - Leeds: 14:05
Leeds: 15:30 - Belfast City: 16:30

I might just have some interesting photos to add and share on here afterwards.

There has been a Hop! E190 F-HBXG parked up at MAN the past few days, maybe the flight ended up there as not aware of any pther need for its visit?

As promised here are a few interesting pic's form todays visit of the KLM DC3. I was privileged enough to have been onboard after winning the airports competition for a seat on the flight.

Looks like you had a great day LBAspotter. I see Tony Hallwood was onboard with you. Did you manage to talk to him at all?

More to the point you can see the Emmerdale village set.

Super pictures - many thanks. When MRS TLY and I were courting (now that word will date me) the DC3 was arguably the most prolific passenger aircraft at my local airport in the early 1960s. One of its tasks was to operate the honeymoon flights to the Channel islands - before the days that the mass Costas market opened up when Jersey and Guernsey were considered quite exotic by the ordinary newly married couple.

We didn't honeymoon in the CI; couldn't afford to then.

My last DC 3 trip was in 1985 on an Air Atlantique pleasure flip out of BRS. Going down the runway seemed like driving in a lorry and the bird took to the air so slowly after we'd all become used to jet travel, although in its heyday it would have seemed very exciting.

No I didn't managed to talk to Tony. Said Hello and Thanks of course but that was about it as he had his own PR commitments due to the flight been full of Press/Reporters including BBC Look North, Yorkshire Post/Yorkshire Evening Post, Made in Leeds TV and Stray FM.

I did an interview inflight with "Made in Leeds" which will be shown tomorrow evening and also had some photo's taken by LBIA which might appear on their Website or Twitter/Facebook accounts later and also had a little chat with the evening post reporter. I do know BBC Look North showed Ian Whites onboard report on this evening 18:30 bulletin, I appeared right at the beginning which was just before departure.

Great pictures Lbaspotter was great to see, looked like the pilots were happy as they waved at us well taking past stand 3
Great to see such a wounderful aircraft at LBA well done to them for getting it to visit, lets hope it comes again

Did two apaches visit/leave lba this evening about 7pm ish? Saw them flying low in formation heading from lba's direction.

RAF C17 done a few laps this afternoon landing on the last lap tool off 10 mins later

The RAF sent in C17 Globemaster ZZ177 using callsign "Ascot 822". He was here on training duties hence why he did 3x missed approach and go-arounds on runway 14 before landing on the 4th. It departed out 15 mins later to the North.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
