I was at the end of runway 14 yesterday at 2.15pm when a air force jet (think american) did a low run along runways 14, too fast for me to get my camera in position, any information?

That will have been the RAF BAe Hawk, XX255 which did a missed approach at around that time.

Hope that helps.

Did I just see a Royal Flight land at LBA? Just seen a Bae146 land on 14, looked like it had the Union Jack on the tail?

he came to put some backbone in the Leeds council before this weeks meeting on airport expansion, worried about his Northern power house. Unless Leeds agree to a Mayor all down the pan, my home town of York seems to be the one holding every one down, time for everyone to put the region first not party politics. Sent for Harriet harman.
Seriously I have already had the Green party knocking on my door in yeadon trying to stop expansion at Leeds and were only at outline planning. Told them in 1987 I voted to extend hours of use, will vote for anything to expand the airport that is sensible, went away very unhappy. They seem to think anyone living near the airport is anti airport, strange.

Same case with Heathrow isn't it? There was one poll by Populus that actually ended up with far more people voting for Heathrow expansion than against.

It always seems to be environment first with so many politicians, and concern for the economic welfare of the region, which is often so dependent on a good airport, ends up being set aside.

Never mind aviation being responsible for less than 3 percent of all pollution, the politicians in this country seem eager to suppress it as much as they can.

There is a Carpatair Fokker 100 also due into Leeds/Bradford next weekend in and out of Perpignan operating a charter flights for Catalan Dragon's RLFC as they are due to play against Leeds Rhino's RLFC on Sunday, July 26th

V32178 - ETA 13:30 = Saturday 25/07/15
V32179 - ETD 00:30 = Monday 27/07/15

Also next Thursday 23/07/15 see's the 2nd Mistral Air Italian student charter flight operating into Leeds from Rome

EI-DVA has just crossed the Straights of Dover positioning to LBA to operate the last student charter of the season out to Rome Fiumicino.

Best Wishes, BarnsleyHolidays.

Carpatair sent in Fokker 100, YR-FZA this afternoon on its flight from Perpignan with the Catalan Dragon's onboard.

Austrian Airlines, Dash 8-Q400, OE-LGD positioned in from Edinburgh as AUA1462 to operate the first of this summers series of charter flights to Innsbruck.

VLM Airlines are using Fokker 50, OO-VLM on this evenings inbound charter from Oslo with the Leeds Utd team onboard

Is the Austrian Dash8 operating the flight each week or will the F70 operate from next Saturday? I have a vested interest as I am hoping to use the flight in September. I don't fancy the Dash8 on that length of flight.

Sadly yeah it would seem that the Austrian Airlines, Dash 8-Q400 is booked in to do all Leeds-Bradford - Innsbruck flights this summer

Used the Flybe Dash 8-Q400 last summer from Leeds to Innsbruck, whilst the aircraft was not the newest and the seating was looking a little tired, the actual flight was OK both ways. Journey time was considerably less, some 40 mins less than advertised, and once you see the length of the runway at Innsbruck you may be glad you are in the Dash 8. Jets are right at the limit and any adverse weather they have to divert to Munich some 1.5 hours away by road. Steep decent in and out but nothing too much to worry about.

Jet2 are subbing in a Privilege style 757-200 on Saturday.

EC-HDS is due to operate:

LS251/252 LBA-FAO-LBA
LS227/228 LBA-PMI-LBA

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
