Saturday 10 February 2018

In connection with the half term holiday there will be an additional Lanzarote flight departing 0920 (the regular Sunday ACE flight on an A321 will operate as usualy). Saturday's additional flight will be on an A320 positioned from MAN at 0830. There will also be an additional Fuerteventura departing at 0930 on an A321 positioned from GLA at 0840. The regular FUE departing at 1350 will operate as normal. With the regular A321 to Geneva that will give three TCX departures on this Saturday morning.

There will be four Fuerteventura flights on this day - 2 x TCX, 1 x TUI, 1 x easyJet.

Details from Mayfly.

My wife was in the central area of Bristol today looking for a Thomas Cook travel shop. It seems there aren't any in the central area any more. There is one at Bedminster in south Bristol, one at Cribbs Causeway regional shopping centre on the north-western edge of the conurbation and one at Keynsham which is just outside south-east Bristol.

Given that TCX is steadily increasing its BRS offering it seems an odd decision. I can only think it's due to the extremely high property rents in central Bristol. TUI still has a shop in the Broadmead area but I wonder for how long.

It wasn't that many years ago when every high street seemed to be teeming with travel agency shops. Like banks they are a rapidly disappearing breed.

I'm sure i read something recently about them closing down stores and saying that it was due to more people booking online than ever before.

I would not be at all surprised but it's still strange that they shut their city centre shop whilst keeping open those in the suburbs. In fact, it's five in the suburbs as I missed the one at Kingswood in east Bristol and one in the town of Yate just to the north of the city.

Bath has a shop in its city centre and Cardiff has two in its central area.

There is quite a few sainsburys supermarkets that have TC travel shops in situe
Yes, I think there is one at Weston-super-Mare (Worle).

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
