Looking at your Thomas Cook posts in the BHX and CWL threads, I note that four rotations each week from those airports are operated by BRS-based aircraft (all A321s?) on 'W' patterns. Given that for the most part TCX aircraft at BRS operate no more than two rotations per day this would be the equivalent of one aircraft being part-based for five days each week.

I can't remember so many BRS TCX flights being operated 'away from home' each week. I stand to be corrected but the only one I can recall happening regularly (over a number of years) was a Saturday 'W' pattern to EXT from PMI which now seems to have been dropped.

Here is the number of aircraft based during peak August (excluding LGW & MAN) along with number of departures per week, including any w-patterns that the based aircraft operate.
You can see that now BRS is a 3x aircraft base and operates 4x W-patterns to other bases each week, it still has similar number of departures to NCL and STN (also 3x aircraft bases).

2017: BFS - 1x based, 14x departures per week
2018: BFS - 1x based, 14x departures per week

2017: CWL - 1x based, 15x departures per week
2018: CWL - 1x based, 16x departures per week

That's very enlightening, Severn. Many thanks. It seems that Thomas Cook operates several 'W' patterns from each of a number of airports and, like BRS, they have increased this year with mainly routes to the 're-discovered' Turkey.

Fri: BRS-AYT-CWL-AYT-BRS
Sat: BRS-PMI-BHX-PMI-BRS-DLM-BRS (replacing PMI-EXT-PMI which operated in 2017).

CWL seems to be getting something similar for April. Do you know if this is a general initiative across most of or all the Thomas Cook airports?

Another drink-related incident involving an airline associated with BRS. As usual, the 'accused' people are denying they did anything wrong as if the airline staff want to go around telling lies. Well done and all power to you for taking this action, Thomas Cook.
 
Typical. Him & his wife are the problem; yet HE decides HE doesn't want HIS kids to travel with his mum.

Therefore TCX didn't leave his family stranded HE DID! Well he may considering he could allow them to travel on Friday.

Good on TCX and it's nice to see another airline banning people and taking action.
 
Bodrum is a new destination for next summer. Every Friday. The w pattern Antalya reverts to a simple brs-ant -brs rather than heading to Cardiff as well

SUMMARY
In 2018 a based TCX A321 operated a W-pattern to another base on four days each week. These were:
Tue: BRS-DLM-BHX-DLM-BRS
Wed: BRS-AYT-BHX-AYT-BRS
Fri: BRS-AYT-CWL-AYT-BRS
Sat: BRS-PMI-BHX-PMI-BRS-DLM-BRS (replacing PMI-EXT-PMI which operated in 2017).

In 2019 only the Saturday PMI W-Pattern will continue meaning that on Tues, Wed and Fri the BRS based aircraft can operate two departures per day instead of operating BRS-DLM-BHX-DLM-BRS for example which takes all day.
Therefore, BRS has gained an
extra flight to AYT on a Tuesday,
a new flight to NBE on a Wednesday, and
a new flight to BJV on a Friday.
 
Antalya goes daily in October 2019 , Dalaman 6 weekly and Bodrum weekly . Total of 14 flights per week!

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.

15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
