Just added a couple of photos taken last month, one from the railway bridge and one from the Country Park.

I was just going to ask if your Thomson picture was taken from the railway bridge but you've answered my question already. Nice pictures Seasider, just a shame you didn't seem to get chance to take any more pictures.

Can any of the locals explain what work is being carried out on the opposite side of the runway?

I was only there about 90 mins on a wet Saturday afternoon and only took photos for my own research. The others aren't good enough (for me) to put on the forum.

I love the first one too.

It looks as though the triple 7 has just become airborne from a local park.

The 5th photo is interesting - appears to show 4 movements, 2 in the air and 2 on the ground. BHX getting busy !

It was a mad few minutes. The Aer Lingus, aborted landing in the other direction which meant a change in operational runway and lots of quick departures. It was quite a windy day.

Great work Hassaan.

:good:

The BHX-IST flight must be doing well if your seeing 737-900 on the route.

I particularly like that one with Flybe and Monarch in the same shot ;)

I'm hoping somewhere there is an image of the International Pier with Emirates, Air India and PIA on it.

I tried to get one but it's very difficult to get pictures from that angle now. The area behind the Tristar hotel is fenced off for construction of the Centro bus lane and everywhere else there is a double fence making pictures near impossible.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
