Thanks for trying Matt. It is such a shame to see that building gradually deteriorate. It would make a great venue for conferences, business centre, training centre with a spotting location to boot....I feel a business plan coming on... The airport needs to innovate.
I recall whoever was the CEO at the time (about 8-9 years ago) telling me that they would be willing to look at things seriously... if presented with a concrete business plan. Unfortunately that's not my area of expertise, otherwise I would get on that immediately.

Of course, if anyone knows anyone who knows anyone, that would be helpful.

So, who are Birmingham airport new owners.

Andrew we don't have new owners yet, I think Nethercote2019 post was in regards to when or if we do get new owners.

Nick Barton is the owner and route analyst for bhx is Tom screen(Legend)

Nick Barton is not the owner, he's the Chief Executive of the airport, he works for the current owners, who still are:-

Seven metropolitan boroughs of West Midlands county: Owns 49% of the airport
Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP): Owns 48.25% of the airport
Employees: Own 2.75% of the airport

Further to Matts post the other remaining shareholders have a 30 day first refusal to buy OTPP out running fromI think Nov 23rd. so ends about now.
Can't see that happening as Birmingham City Council are effectively bust therefore OTPP will be free to sell or not to who they choose probably to the highest bidder if Indeed one materialises bearing in mind they would be a minority shareholder. Any announcement re a sale will come via a stock exchange announcement.

Also confirm what Matt says re Nick Barton and Tom Screen plus the route development team they are employees completely different from ownership.

I don't expect this to have much impact bar a "display" of support but I set this up a while back:

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
