Sadly no news about the new routes, but I did fly to LPA with easyJet (from LTN ) and flew back yesterday. I was impressed with the whole process and EasyJet were flawless throughout. The inflight flightracker was a brucey bonus and had a Neo both ways so a nice quiet smooth ride.

Regarding the new routes announcement it was posted (by Ian I think) shortly after the base was confirmed that new routes for next summer should be announced in 4/6 weeks so end of June to mid July hopefully.

Canaries should be a shoe in I would imagine particularly given the year round demand.

I would say they are normally around 70%

As someone rather well informed has posted elsewhere all current EasyJet services are shown as "W" flights so hopefully we are in for whole lot of new destinations to be announced shortly.

I never truly believe what I see on an airlines app/screen until the day of departure arrives and I'm sitting on the plane. For instance BA, and probably most airlines say a flight seat number is 'confirmed', then the next day they've changed your damn seat number to another one. EasyJet can switch things around from W routes to non W routes in a heartbeat. I'd keep an open mind as to what easyJet will or won't do. I'm thinking it will be a mix of both of the abovementioned. Wouldn't BHX be lucky if it wasn't

With three units EasyJet and BHX have had to be selective. Larnaca but no Paphos, Tenerife but no Arrecife, Dalaman but no Antalya, Alicante but no Ibiza or Minorca. I'm sure those and more will come in time. Great news and well done to BHX and EasyJet

30x weekly departures now bookable from end of march until end of may - suggests 4 new departures a day suggesting only 2x based a/c available atm. Suspect frequencies and routes will be added from june onwards...

SSH is quite a ... well for a new base I clearly thought that wouldn't be up there. Well done to Birmingham/ easyJet for seeing that there is a gap in the market since the collapse of Monarch and Thomas Cook.

I feel Tunisia/Sharm are a defensive move as they are not served by Jet2 and the TUI offering is pretty much all easyJet are offering.

I'd be happy given Tunisia/Sharm are on there. What's really interesting is that they did a press release saying they want to double in size in Morocco however there are no Moroccan destinations. Interesting...
