Many thanks for that, Jake.

thanks for the info. it must have been nearly empty as the plane was up to 40,000 ft by the time it got over reading then turned and was heading towards southern france. looking at it on fr 24,but had visitors turn up so missed where it was going. on fr 24 it had no destination posted.

Yes, the summer timetable for scheduled operators started this week although some additional routes/frequencies will kick in through the spring and early summer as always.

Avantiair

A F100 of the above airline flew in to BRS this morning with the Brive rugby union team and staff for tomorrow's European Challenge Cup match against Bath. The aircraft is due to return to Brive at 1800 tomorrow. I saw the aircraft parked near the western extremity of the airfield apron at lunchtime today.

If you see an EZY,TOM or BMI use flight number 9xxx it will be an empty positioning aircraft. Except for EZY if the flight was delayed to the next day and returning with passengers for example, U26268 PRG-BRS it will operate as the U29268. FR normally use a low 0-20 flight number or just a call sign. The last 2 digits of the flight number normally relate to the number of positioning flights the airline has had that day.

Based on the fact there will be a lot of people going to Cardiff for the Champions League final from Madrid and either Turin or Monaco, I expect Ryanair and EasyJet will add more flights into Bristol over the course of a couple of days either side of the match. When might that get announced?
I expect a lot of charter flights direct to Cardiff but as with the summit in Newport a couple of years ago, Bristol should see some increased traffic as a result

KLM is putting on an additional rotation (fifth on the days in question) on Saturday 3 June and Sunday 4 June. It's doing the same at CWL and also upgrading some flights to a B737 there.

I have a notion from somewhere, but may be wrong, that UEFA dictates that in these finals fans of the opposing teams carried by ad hoc charter flights must go to separate airports. Obviously scheduled airline flights will operate into their usual airports.

I'd have thought EZY might add some extra flights to Madrid and then either Nice or Turin. Ryanair could do the same as well.

There will be a lot of extra flights for the Champions league final at BRS from a variety of airlines not often seen here, the origin of many of these is likely to be Madrid.

BRS Twitter feed says that the easyjet A319 named Sprit of Bristol this week is G-EZFI.

Aside from the UEFA champins league flights are were expecting any more low cost or charter flights to be added to this summers schedules.

Or are the schedules in May and June indicative of the rest of the summers flights?

Still waiting for the 14th easyJet based aircraft to arrive I believe - probably at the end of the month or early next. The third based TOM aircraft (the B738) is due towards the end of the coming week. As in previous years Ryanair will be increasing the number of its weekly rotations as the summer progresses: 116, 115, 121, 131, 121 from May to September respectively.

I would think time you put both airports normal sat and sun flights in the pot then I recon both BRS and CWL will be about 300 landings and take offs both days. Lets hope weather is kind for every one that weekend.

Sorry to start a new thread but didnt want to take over the Vueling one someone else had made, does anyone have any further information on which airlines and times will be arriving at BRS for the champions league final, we have heard Vueling are coming but also Air Europa but cannot find any information on this anywhere, does anyone have any information?

As some of you may know I run the Bristol Airport Spotting website and community and would like to keep everyone updated, including myself, on movements. Feel free to PM me if you dont want to post publically.

I have setup an article on the website crediting the original poster on here - http://www.bristolairportspotting.c...real-madrid-fans-champions-league-final-2017/

Have to wonder where these aircraft will be parked if they stay at the airport to operate the return fights, although the ones that come in before the Saturday will doubtless go back from whence they came. That will still leave some interesting logistical arrangements on the day or two after the match though.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
