Is OY-PAE a A321-251N. Is this a neo. If it is it will be the first A321 NEO in BRS.

An ASL Airlines France B737-700 (F-GZTD) is due in to Bristol at around 11am today from La Rochelle, France and will stay tonight. This will be carrying the La Rochelle Rugby team who are due to play the Bristol Bears in Ashton Gate tomorrow (Saturday 8th Dec).

Also due in today is a Jet2 B737-800 (G-JZBF) at midday from Dublin which is also staying tonight (assuming this will be bringing the Leinster Rugby team in for their game against Bath tomorrow?)
Given the Leinster vs Bath Rugby match tomorrow, then that will be the reason there are 5x DUB-BRS rotations today with Stobart Air.

Very impressive schedule of flights to Finland this year and they seem to be growing every year. With December and January the quiet months of the year, with the santa flights and sports flights this month it will be interesting to see pax figures for this December.

any idea when we may get those figures ? I note that easyJet now flies from Gatwick to Rovaniemi. Maybe a route for next winter from brs ?

Last Christmas saw numerous flights too. easyJet operated to Kittila at 2/3 x weekly into February last year so it is for skiers as well as Santa passengers, if indeed it's for the latter at all.

In 2017 CAA stats show these total passenger figures for Finland from BRS.

Enontekio 1304
Ivalo 1493
Kittila 9578
Rovaniemi 1747

Interestingly they are all shown as charter flights except for 1298 of the Rovaniemi total which are listed as scheduled passengers.

Although easyJet operates up to 3 x weekly to Kittila for part of the ski season it's never shown in the easyJet dropdown list of routes. I can only assume the flights are all for tour companies. Some years ago easyJet operated to Ivalo from BRS and that route never appeared in the dropdown list of routes either.

Barcelona might be pushing it a bit to call it a ski destination although it certainly gives access to ski slopes two or three hours away.

Same applies with Venice.
