I thought that return flights were cargo only, no pax?
You may well be correct in the cargo bit. Perhaps if it was cargo they were expecting it to walk on the aircraft by it self. The dep/arr boards are not always correct,i only posted what i saw on them boards,so they could be an error.
Happy new year to you.

Saturday 2 January 2021

There should have been 34 departures today but three of them (all Ryanair) were cancelled:

easyJet (22): Salzburg, Malaga, Porto, Faro, Alicante, Arrecife, Belfast International (x 2), Lyon, Grenoble, Hurghada, Geneva (x 3), Paphos, Tenerife South, Glasgow, Las Palmas, Fuerteventura, Sofia, Funchal, Nice

Ryanair (9): Dublin, Tenerife South, Sofia, Venice MP, Poznan, Alicante, Wroclaw (x 2, both cancelled). Budapest (cancelled)

KLM (2): Amsterdam (x 2)*

Blue Islands (1): Jersey

So, an easyJet Glasgow but no Edinburgh, and two KLM Amsterdam departures (two shown for tomorrow as well)

* according to FR24 the morning KLM was E190 PH-EZM and the afternoon/early evening KLM was B737-700 PH-BGL

I did notice on the arr/dep boards that there was 4 GVA flights by Easyjet. I think thats the first this season with so many flights to GVA.It just shows how popular GVA is covid19 or not.

Sunday 3 January 2021

31 departures shown today.

easyJet (22): Malaga, Athens, Lisbon, Faro, Gibraltar, Geneva (x 2), Alicante, Edinburgh (x 2), Amsterdam, Glasgow, Inverness, Newcastle, Madrid, Prague, Barcelona, Belfast International (x 2), Berlin Brandenburg, Paris CDG, Basel

Ryanair (6): Arrecife (x 2), Dublin, Malaga, Faro, Alicante

KLM (2): Amsterdam (x 2)*

Blue Islands (1): Jersey

There were 36 arrivals which included the above departures plus easyJet from Innsbruck and Rome Fiumicino and Ryanair from Warsaw Modlin (x 2) and Bucharest. Apparently returning the passengers who travelled out over the holiday period.

* the afternoon/early evening KLM was again a Boeing 737-700 according to FR24, PH-BGO with the morning KLM an E175 PH-EXN

Now the Christmas/New Year holiday season, such as it was, is over and the new lockdown might also impinge on operations, we can expect considerably fewer flights in the next few weeks. This week has begun the trend but the rest of January is likely to be quieter still.

Yesterday saw five departures and five reciprocal arrivals: easyJet Glasgow, Arrecife, Geneva, Tenerife South and KLM Amsterdam.

Today also sees five departures and five reciprocal arrivals: easyJet Fuerteventura, Geneva, Belfast International, Ryanair Alicante and KLM Amsterdam

Tomorrow is showing nine departures and nine reciprocal arrivals: easyJet Malaga, Alicante, Faro, Arrecife, Geneva, Tenerife South, Edinburgh, Belfast International and KLM Amsterdam. In addition easyJet is showing an inbound from Krakow and Ryanair an inbound from Warsaw Modlin. Both are shown on the respective airline booking engines whereas the outbound flights to both destinations are showing as non-operational, no doubt due to the continuing Polish ban on inbound passengers.

The arr/dep looking dire today with 1 flight due and the return. The flight is the KLM from and to AMS.

It's likely to be like that until at least the end of the month. Apart from KLM the only other flights I can see advertised for the rest of January are easyJet to EDI and BFS (both 4 x weekly). Currently there are more flights shown to various destinations in February but how many will survive is anyone's guess.

Friday 12 February 2021

Busy day today - three services: :)

easyJet to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast International.......there and back.

It appears Bristol is not one of the 5 allocated airports for International flights from Monday 15th Feb. The designated airports with enforced Hotel quarantine, prepaid on the, CTM website are, LHR, GAT, LCY, BHX. Strangely. Glasgow, EdI and Aberdeen are also in the drop down for Scottish airports. BRS was bidding i believe

These are likely to have been picked as the main airports where there are routes from red list countries come in. I guess Portugal would be the only one relevant for BRS but I don’t know if those routes are currently suspended anyway?

ABZ, GLA, EDI have been designated the three entry points by the Scottish government, and Scotland is sending all international arrivals in to hotel quarantine - not just those from red list countries.

The strange 1 which is not on the list is MAN. I would have thought that would have been 1 of the first to be on the list with the amount of international flights that use MAN

4 departures scheduled for Sunday 28th March 2021

easyJet - Belfast, Edinburgh & Glasgow
Ryanair - Alicante

Interesting to see how many bums on seats we will see on the ALC flight.......

According to the seat map for the outbound flight, showing 88 pax which would seem a surprise but hey what do I know.

Apparently there's an end of March deadline for UK residents in Spain who don't have residency status to return to the UK if they don't want to be deemed illegal immigrants, so I wonder if some of those flights are put on primarily for returning travelers.

Saturday 3 April 2021

Air Nostrum YW 5225 to La Rochelle at 0130 - no doubt returning after bringing back the Gloucester Rugby Club party after their Heineken Cup match at La Rochelle (I didn't check 1 or 2 April's details when an Air Nostrum aircraft no doubt arrived at BRS to take the Gloucester party out to La Rochelle

Ryanair FR1308 to Bordeaux at 1300 - no doubt the Bristol Bears party for their Heineken Cup match at Bordeaux-Begles tomorrow afternoon, returning as FR1309 at 2030 on Sunday 4 April

Ryanair FR4135 to Warsaw Modlin at 2055 having arrived from Modlin as FR 4136 at 2030

Sunday 4 April 2021

Ryanair FR8296 to Alicante at 1210 returning as FR 8297 at 1740

Monday 26 April 2021

With Blue Islands resuming tomorrow and KLM having restarted its BRS service yesterday, there are five departures (and five arrivals) shown tomorrow:

easyJet: Belfast International, Edinburgh, Glasgow
Blue Islands: Jersey
KLM: Amsterdam

In the General Discussion forum Scottie Dog has posted various stats relating to all UK airports for February 2021.

One of the headings is Air Transport Movements and perhaps surprisingly (perhaps not) BRS is at the bottom of all the South West Airports by this measure.

Gloucestershire Airport had 2,156 atms
Cornwall Newquay Airport 1,877 atms
Exeter Airport 871 atms
Bristol Airport 832 atms

The CAA describes air transport movements as:

All landings and take-offs of aircraft engaged on the transport of passengers, cargo or mail on commercial terms. All scheduled movements (whether loaded or empty) and loaded charter movements.

Sunday 2 May 2021

Airport website departure page showing CityJet WX9367 departing BRS at 0005 to Montpellier. It would be in connection with the Bath v Montpellier Rugby Challenge Cup semi-final at Bath this afternoon, and presumably is a CRJ900 aircraft.

No doubt it brought the Montpellier party into BRS yesterday but I didn't check the movements for Friday.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
