I think I've answered your question by posting a photo log from a couple weekends ago, in the photo thread for BRS.

Operating the Mistral Air flight from Verona was the Go2Sky 737-400 OM-GTA.

That's brilliant - many thanks.

Next weeks mayfly is showing a flight by what I think is Tunisair (TUN) on Saturday 19th July 2014.

Flight arrives as TUN8490 from NBE at 0730,
Flight depart as TUN8491 to NBE at 0820

Flight operated by a Boeing 737-600.

Don't know if this a one-off charter or the start of a regular peak summer charter?

BRS currently has five weekly rotations to Enfidha:

Wednesdays Thomas Cook A 321 and Nouvelair A 320
Saturdays Thomas Cook A 321
Sundays Thomson B 757 and Thomas Cook A 321

Last December conns757 who knows about these things highlighted the LBT on Wednesdays and also said that a Syphax A 320 would operate on Saturdays. Further enquiry suggested the Syphax would be peak summer only so maybe the Tunisair B 736 is replacing it for the peak summer season.

See we had a estonian air f90 in this morning. reg no was es aeb. it was out bound to bremen. is this a regular or a one off, or an airbus related.

I suspect that it was a one-off. I can't see anything similar in Mayfly for next Wednesday.

Yes it was a one off charter.

Many thanks big g.

At least an Estonian aircraft has been seen at BRS. Earlier this year it was said that an Estonian E170 would operate the summer Inghams charter to Verona each Saturday. It now seems that Inghams are buying seats on the TUI (operated by Mistral et al) flight to Verona this summer.

Titan to Bergen

Mayfly is showing a Titan B 733 departing for Bergen at 1415 on Sunday 20 July 2014. The aircraft arrives from Stansted an hour earlier.

No doubt it's a flight connected to Hurtigruten Holidays in Norway that operate from BRS on a few occasions each year.

Rome

Reading in the LBA thread news that the Italian student flights have returned again this summer led me to check BRS but I can find nothing this year so far.

In recent Julys into Augusts there have been Wednesday flights from FCO involving Alitalia and on occasions (I think) Mistral that ran for several weeks. There is nothing today on Mayfly, nor on the BRS website arrivals page, nor is there anything on next Wednesday's Mayfly nor on last Wednesday's.

I can't think they are all being accommodated on the daily easyJet FCO flight which always seems to have very high loads each month according to CAA stats.

NATO summit at Newport

I passed the airport at lunchtime and saw a number of aircraft parked on the eastern apron that were there in connection with the Summit.

I spotted a Lot E175 and a Euro Lot Q 400 from Poland. There were several other A319/A320/B737 size aircraft parked there that I didn't have time to see clearly. One must have been a Ukraine Airlines aircraft as the local tv news carried pictures of the President of the Ukraine and his wife arriving at BRS this morning. The local news also spoke of flights from Bulgaria and Hungary.

I noticed a number of 'biz jets' parked on the southern apron.

President Barroso of the European Commission was shown arriving on the scheduled Brussels Airlines (bmi regional) E 145 from BRU.

A very rare set of planes as described above. I dont think we will see this line up again in Bristol airport. So i took some photos. LOT, Ukraine, Armenia, Bulgaria etc Would like to upload on this thread but will also try on the photo index

uploaded a few photos to the bristol airport photo gallery. sorry they are just mobile phone photos taken from the apron, cant be seen with a camera on such an occasion. the planes are armenia, bulgaria, poland, ukraine and hungary. all going out today.

Many thanks, kraktoa. A lovely record of a couple of days that are unlikely to be repeated at BRS.

Great pictures 'superking'. It's nice to see some new pictures in the Bristol gallery. It was looking rather sparse before.

Santa and Ski flights

This weeks's and next week's Mayfly show the first Santa and ski flights for this winter.

TOM starts to Kittila this Sunday with presumably a Santa programme. Until a couple of years ago Kittila carried on through the ski season as well with Thomas Cook.

Jet2 returns to the airport on Sunday week with Ivalo flights. Again it is presumed that these are Santa flights. Jet2 was last seen at BRS two winters ago when operating one of the Chambery weekly ski flights. Last winter easyJet operated a series of flights to Ivalo in the run-up to Christmas but that doesn't appear to be happening this year.

Sunday week actually sees the start of Chambery with an airline showing an indicator 'ST'. This is probably Germania which operated one of the Chambery flights last winter and I seem to remember similar confusion with the Mayfly flight indicator at the beginning of that season. ST is operating an A 319. Last winter Germania operated a B 737-700 to Chambery.

The full ski programme should become clearer after Christmas.

The RAF's latest Atlas A400M is due to make some training approaches this morning at 1015. Conditions should be good for photography☺

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
