That is a pretty big increase.
Perhaps the ceremonial 25 millionth passenger will be on a plane to Houston tomorrow morning...

Wonder if that passenger will get a presentation or something?
Are we that close to reaching the magic 25million Dobbo? Don't keep track on the stats much!
When I looked, it appeared that ACL had a new web site and the MAN reports were no longer accessible as they used to be, although it may be possible to sign up for a free sample of reports. Is access now primarily confined to those in the industry or by subscription only?

We understandably and rightly get excited about new long haul routes but there's no doubt where the significant capacity growth is coming this winter based on that ACL report.
Easyjet + 288,258 seats 29%
Ryanair + 413,841 seats 32.8%
Jet2 + 108,192 seats 30%
TOM + 100,632 seats 16.6%
Flybe + 227,436 seats 21.7%
There are also good increases for Norwegian and Vueling as they grow their ops at MAN.
TCX was a more modest increase of 2.4%
Middle East is a mixed bag due to a/c changes
EK is up nearly 10% with the 3rd A380 from Jan. but EY loses 24,000 seats (-11%) and QR just under 7,000 seats (-3.9%). SV has nearly 22,000 extra seats with the frequency increase (over 50%).
The US carriers as expected are disappointing.
AA - 31,294 seats -21.8%
UA -17,118 seats -25.6%
DL -8,670 seats -18% (frequency is down to 4 x weekly at times Fri-Mon)
There are some other decent increases so worth having a look at p3 of the report with the highlights and main changes listed on p4.

MAN welcomed its 25,000,000th passenger of the rolling year during the weekend just gone. This was confirmed by Operations Manager Rad Taylor during his presentation to TAS earlier this evening. A stunning historic milestone. In the run-up to this achievement, some individual days were seeing throughput of 104,000+ passengers.

It seems to have been a long time since I was last able to post any meaningful statistics, however the CAA have now started to catch up a little.
Over the next few days I hope to be able to provide sample figures for July-September, although the August and September data does still include 'unknown' destinations and is also lacking reports for many domestic airports.
