Despite doing a lot of travelling as I live in Philippines and work out of the UK I`ve never had chance to fly on a 747 and really want to before they all dissapear. Does anyone know any routes either UK > Middle east or Middle east to far east that definitely uses this aircraft so I can satisfy my curiosity 🙂
Cheers
Matty

I am in the same situation, done a lot of flying over the past 30 years, think i have flown on every platform except the 747... Always end up on 777, or A330 for longer routes... Will be a sad day if Boeing cannot turn around the 747's fortunes.. My wife regularly uses BA 747 service LHR - SFO Business class, and there is no comparison in her mind between it and the competition.

I`ve done it!
I must have too much time on my hands.
LHR>DOH Emirates. a380
DOH>JED not sure of varient
JED > MNL 747-400 Saudia
Its a bit of messing around to get home but once I board the 747 it will be worth it. I just hope I wont be let down!!!
Then return with Philippine Airlines Direct MNL>LHR

B747's are a regular sight for transatlantic routes, BA, KLM, Virgin, Lufthansa, all use them regularly plus United occasionally. You'll have to got the long way round via Los Angeles!

Thanks for the info guys. Yes I looked at Thai but it works out quite expensive. The deals seem to be hitting the middle east as a stopover point

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
