Far too many occurrences with this airline for my liking. I hope EASA is watching Shaheen Air closely.

If this happens to many times i think this might be another like Iraqi issue with the UK.Hope not and they do start flights to EMA and MAN but not looking good at the moment.

Manchester is now in the booking engine on the Shaheen air website, but no flights bookable yet.

Well with 3 airlines on MAN-ISB were going to need all the luck we can get!

I guess none of them are particularly renowned for exceptional service. PIA is probably the best of the bunch.

Mustn't forget that ISB features as one of EK's top 10 destinations ex-MAN. Let's see how Air Blue and Shaheen Air do in mopping up some of what EK carry!

I'd love to know if MAN use EK (and other ME3) transfer figures to promote more/new direct routes.

MAN will use CAA and MIDT figures to help prove its case for a route.

In the case of Islamabad, it was ripe for the picking of extra capacity due to MAN historically being the busiest route to Europe from Islamabad (although admittedly not quite ripe enough for 3 carriers at potentially 13 weekly).

Thanks User, asi understand it CAA and MIDT are third party (not MAN or the airlines) data crunchers. Is this usually bolstered by tangible data from MAN or is it restricted by the airline (for example to try an prevent new entrants to market?)

Now bookable.

NL901 ISB 1100 MAN 1400
NL902 MAN 2200 ISB 1100

A330-301 used according to website. Every Tue/Fri/Sun from 15th March.

They tweeted someone to say flights should be available soon. Can't see them wanting to loose too much ground to Shaheen so will want to get them loaded as soon as possible. The route map is showing Manchester now.

I'm just surprised the Shaheen air flights are using the A330-300 after the talk that their A330-200's were brought for routes like Manchester. Not that I'm complaining at the already extra capacity.

Shaheen sell flights today for tomorrow, that's how they work. Don't expect anything else from them.

I take it your not a fan of Shaheen then Aviador given the lack of any positivity around them whatsoever?

To say they are a shower is being extremely polite. Of course, things could have changed though. I live in hope.

Somewhat unfair where it is unlikely there is likley to be a right of reply ?

As moderator is it not best to leave such comments to other posters ?

Shaheen Air operated from LBA a few years ago. Whilst I have no personal experience, it was well reported, at the time, that they were not "the best of airlines".

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
