Air Serbia have applied for MAN-BEG slots in the past so could add in time.

luxair boss has stated they will add MAN-LUX back in when long haul connections with VS/EI/EK etc resume.

Tallinn could be one for Air Baltic if Riga does well.

vilinus would likely be Ryanair. They have applied to serve the route in the past.

moscow could really only be Aeroflot or S7 if either had the appetite.

Zagreb. One of those European capitals that ought (imho) to be on the departure board. Belgrade, Ljubljana, Luxembourg, Moscow, Tallinn and Vilnius for a full house?
Zagreb now is. It will operate 2x weekly from December 2nd 2021 flights on Sundays and Thursdays using Lauda A320s

Interesting movement today. The new Malta air 737 Max has been at Manchester operating the Milan Bergamo flight. 9H-VUB

6 new routes this winter, one other potential new route as well as 3 returnees.

poznan, Kaunas, Suceava, Zagreb, Paphos and Salzburg. Agadir is already bookable as a returnee, Kyiv and Marrakesh bookable soon and St. Petersburg will be added if approved by the Russians

Ryanair to Russia? Am I dreaming or something. I would of thought that is one market a) they wouldn't want to get involved in due to the geo politics that goes on and b) it's 2 quite long flights.

It would be a very surprising route but Ryanair are expanding all the time.

St Petersburg isn't actually "that" far.

Great circle distances, it's closer to Manchester than the Canary Islands, Malta & Greece.

It's about the same distance as Palermo in Sicily.

In terms of geo politics, its Ryanair, so if there's a market they'll try it. If after a season or two it's not profitable, they'll cancel it.

The problem with Russia is expensive visa requirements for visitors from the UK. Pretty much kills the short breaks market.

On Turkey, I think we're talking covid red list. Might be somewhere to look at when all this blows over.

You would, after TC went under, think the Turkey market would be something they would want a slice of? I mean they have limited presence in Turkey compared to other carriers.
I think only Ryanair UK aircraft can be used for Turkey if they were going to do it. The EI reg aircraft wouldn't be allowed, something to do with traffic rights between ireland and Turkey i believe.

I guess the Ryanair AOC will then come in helpful for that. Granted I still believe there is a dispute between the two of them isn't there? CAA/Ryanair?

Mind you when is there not a dispute between Ryanair and an airport, government, air traffic service provider or aviation authority.

I’m assuming the CAA dispute is being resolved, as Ryanair U.K. will operate to KUN, AGA and TRF, while slots are held for the return of RAK, BFS, KBP as well as a new 2 weekly route to LED.
That's seemingly good news if they have resolved the dispute and are planning to expand their Ryanair U.K. network from MAN and bring back some popular routes such as KBP and RAK, hopefully these will go back on sale soon. It is a bit strange to see that Ryanair U.K. are going to operate the KUN route on a Monday and the HAM route on a Friday, considering both Lithuania and Germany are in the EU. I wonder what the deal is with that, considering Ryanair U.K. has been set-up to serve routes in non-EU countries...

The Manchester- Tallinn route could be resuming soon as it appears on the Manchester routes.

With Ryanair announcing the end of flights to Northern Ireland the BFS-MAN route has been cut.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
