So far in terms of W15 to W16 growth

BCN/CIA/BGY move from daily to 9 weekly each

Nurenburg is new, and Brindisi and Bratislava will be year round new to S16.

Further changes expected, as I've heard at least 3 new routes for W16, to which NUE is part of.

I'm not 100% sure as it's difficult to get advanced information on Ryanair, however, the impression given was that it was 3 actual new routes.

One of the suggested routes was Seville, as Manchester is desperate for a route and Spain volumes are well up compared to 2015. I didn't expect it to start in winter, but, as part of their flying programme, Seville was announced as a winter route from DUB so it's possible.

The other route MAN is desperately trying to gain is Bucharest, so, given TAROM seemingly ignoring the UK regions, and wizz/blue air entrenched in LPL, Ryanair is the last obvious option being it has a base at both ends of the route. One would hope they will eventually start it, given the seemingly 'out there' routes like Nurenburg and Brindisi are coming to the fold.

And new route number 2 is a daily Hamburg from 1st November also.

Seems my source could be on the nose with the 'at least 3 new routes' info.

And number 3 is a daily Berlin from Oct 28th.

Wow! Head to head with EasyJet on both plus a 2 x daily LH/Eurowings on Hamburg.

May hurt EZY's LPL service on Berlin as well as MAN, or do you think there is under capacity at present from MAN and a stimulus to demand anyway will enable both to prosper?

4 flights most days to HAM will be the same frequency as FRA!

Hamburg will be up to 4 daily, which, I cannot see it being sustained at that level for long.

Berlin will also be up to 3 daily from MAN as well as the 5 weekly LPL. Again, I can't see the route sustaining 3 daily A320/B737-800 for long.

The good news is that, barring any major decreases on other routes is already 53 flights up compared to last winter.

Apparently still more new Ryanair routes to come. Winter 16 will have at least 1 extra based aircraft and possibly 2 more routes.

Can't help thinking Mr O'Toole has some influence in dealings with his former company!

Regarding your previous post, sustainability with the significantly increased capacity is a concern (as happened with Madrid) but look at the number of flights to BCN now. Not always easy to predict what the impact of more flights will be.

I reckon a few of us are looking for some further long haul news but it's getting late for anything this summer.
Incidentally, some interesting stats posted by Scottie Dog on SSC for our l/h routes if you've not seen them.

Got my sums wrong before in the number of flights Ryanair will have extra next winter.

I said 53 extra, but, it's actually 79 extra flights compared to W15 at the moment.

Robin Kileny of Rynair has said More new routes from Manchester will be announced in the next few months, looking like 10 based aircraft for S17 too.

Hearing that 16th Feb could be the day we finally get a link to Bucharest announced. Woukd be a W16 start.

Would RYR not just have to replicate the routes from Liverpool, Doncaster and now Birmingham to Eastern Europe from Manchester to make a killing?

Ryanair in general seem to be on the offensive, as seen with the 3 new German routes into Manchester.

What has surprised me about the German routes, all 3 have started off as daily, instead of the usual 2/3 weekly starting point.

I'm going to put a guess that if Bucharest gets announced it will be 5-7 weekly to get a real steal of the market.

In terms of Easten Europe, I would not be surprised to see Poznan, Lublin, Katowice and Timisoara announced in time.

Ryanair have now loaded more of their flights for W16.

Bergamo and Rome both showing 9 x weekly (currently daily?) and Paris BVA, Limoges and Carcassonne continue from the summer. MAD & BCN previously loaded also showing 9 x weekly.

As well as the 3 new daily German routes, Stuttgart is now showing and remains 6 x weekly. However, there is nothing for Bremen after Oct. unless it's still to be loaded. Same applies to Eindhoven but hopefully that has still to be loaded as well as Budapest.

Kraków also increases to 4 weekly from 3.

I fully expect Bremen to fall victim to the daily Hamburg route, the 2 airports are not exactly a million miles away from each other. Have no reason to think Eindhoven and Budapest won't be loaded.

Got to see the 2 French routes are year round, I'm sure they were summer only at LPL.

However, can't seem to find the 9 weekly Madrid?

Also Palma is now a year round route, it's great to see as Palma is something like 16 daily in the summer and almost nothing in the winter, and despite what people think, Majorca is a good year round point too.

Oslo-Rygge appears to have been dropped for W16/17 with no flights showing beyond October.

It has been rumoured on another forum that Ryanair were threatening to pull out of Rygge altogether, probably for the same reasons that they cut their Alghero and Pescara bases and ended operations to Crotone in Italy. However, there is also the possibility that they will introduce flights to Gardermoen to replace Rygge.
